    Apparently Taylor has a lot of bad reagent just recently sold thru Amazon. I am going to see about getting a replacement.

    I bought a new kit on Amazon and I am having the exact same problem. I think there is something wrong with the r-0871. I am going to buy some tomorrow at the pool supply store and see if it makes a difference.

    I just redid the test using 10ml and added 44 drops of R-0871 before I got a result. Which would mean my FC is 220 ppm. My FC was at 7 according to this same kit before I added 896 oz of 8.25 bleach yesterday morning and then adding another 128 oz tonight. It does not make any sense for my FC...
