1st timer, but what do I do now.... disgruntled frog owner hosed by local pool store!

Clarifiers work by positive and negative bonds, the only negative particle in the water would be the dead organic material. They are not "sticky" at all. As far as not using them in a cartridge filter, I have never herd that, who are "they"? Just to make sure I contacted a pool chemical company...

1st timer, but what do I do now.... disgruntled frog owner hosed by local pool store!

Trust me I know how bad the industry can be! I pick up new accounts all the time because of bad "pool guys" Yes, kill algae Prevent new growth Filter Adding DE to a sand filter is doing the same thing as a clarifier. Clarifier bonds the particles to make them bigger and DE filters to a smaller...

1st timer, but what do I do now.... disgruntled frog owner hosed by local pool store!

need new pump- would like to get a dual speed

On the last post you said "switching the motors out"...I hope you mean the whole pump. As far as the wiring, for warranty and safety, they want a licensed electrician to do it. If it is wired correctly, it will work. If your old one is wired 115 then the Hayward Super Pump 1.5 can be wired 115...

need new pump- would like to get a dual speed

If you don't install a timer or an on/off switch of some type near the pump you will have to do it at the breaker. Also, if you don't have a timer, you will have to remember to turn your pump on and off everyday. I prefer to have GFCI and a timer for peace of mind. Personally I have a variable...

What's the worst thing you've found in your skimmer baskets?

I have found all kinds of interesting things...sometimes I forget to take a picture. All of these were on my route so none from my pool. Pulled this guy out the other day, almost 2 ft long. Thought I should take a pic before he was gone. This one came out of the skimmer and swam to the...
