    Polaris Diffuser Won't Stay Attached

Hi all, I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed; search was not my friend, I use a tail sweep diffuser on my Polaris 280 cleaner. It falls off every few days; I usually find it in the debris sack. I bought the most recent one less than two months ago. What are others doing to...

    Pentair TM-22 Multiport Leak

The o-ring apparently slipped during the installation. I applied the lube and no more leaks. Thanks!

    Pentair TM-22 Multiport Leak

Hi all. I noticed leaks where the cover (listed as item 5 in the diagram below) attaches to the valve body. I replaced the o-ring (item 6 below), but that did not stop the leaks. Full disclosure: I did not use any o-ring lubricant on the replacement. Might I have received a defective o-ring? I...

Sand Filter PSI increases after backwash

Thanks for all the ideas. It looks like the gauge is attached to the filter; the filter was turned-off at the time of the photos. I cannot tell from the photos where it is relative to the filter. The filter was running at 20 psi when I decided to backwash it because of some debris in the...

Sand Filter PSI increases after backwash

Hi all. I have a Tagelus TA 50 Sand filter. The pump pressure increases two-three PSI after I backwash it. That seems counter-intuitive to me. What might cause that? Thanks, Steve

    Struggling to keep pH down

Hi all. I seem to be frequently adding acid to keep pH in a reasonable range. It will rise to 8.2 within a few days of bringing it down to 7.5-7.8. This morning's test results after adding 18 oz of acid yesterday afternoon: FC 7.0 CC 0 pH 7.5 TA 70 CH 400 CYA 60 The table below shows...

    Noob Intro

Hi all. Long time reader, first time poster. FC 5.0 avg CC 0 pH 7.8 TA 80 CH 400 CYA 60 I purchased a home with a pool in spring 2016. My CYA (260) and chlorine (10+) were probably due to the previous owner/pool services chlorinator settings. A local company provided a pool school before I...
