New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

It came up on the app. I would start a cycle and the robot would move about an inch then stop and throw off that error code. I purchased it from Marina last January. Called Aqua Products and they said the cable is only covered for a year. Good news is after I posted that I went back at it...

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

Has anyone had to replace their cable? I keep getting the error code 10 which I assume means there is a short somewhere in the cable. I ordered a replacement and now I can't figure out how to access the motor and there are surprisingly zero videos on YouTube for it.

Pentair Easy Touch breaker swap help

Sorry for the delay Jim, finally back at work. So the transformer to the panel was powered from the GFCI outlet, which was powered by the breaker I replaced. That's what I can't make sense of. Maybe the redundancy caused an issue? It never has in my residential applications but that's all I...

Pentair Easy Touch breaker swap help

I recently added 3 Pentair landscape lights and when wiring them in with the pool lights on the ET panel noticed that the breaker was not GFCI protected. I also couldn't get power to the new landscape light transformer by using a jumper wire from the pool light spot at AUX 5 to AUX 2 where I...

Help finding Dolphin s300i serial number

My app recently stopped working with my Dolphin and now it is prompting me to enter the serial number, which it says can be found by removing the filter on the robot. The problem is I can’t find it anywhere and the manual is also no help. Anyone know how to find it? I’ve tried using the serial...

    North Texas Budget Build

Looks great! These types of pools are always inspiring to see that you can have a really nice pool and spa for a reasonable price. Everybody knows you're still hanging around McKinney a little bit.

    New Build In Sanger, TX

Only the hot tub, too cheap to heat the pool! It's been great though. We went with the Laguna as well. It seemed to take a few weeks before the plaster started to sparkle but it looks great. We had a great experience with TNT, I'm sure they will take good care of you.

Glad you caught that before they were able to install. That is the same plaster I chose, you can see it on my build thread. My wife and I love it.

And just like that I believe we are finished. Got the landscaping wrapped up yesterday and also had the pecan tree removed last week. It made me sad to do but life has been so much better since we made the decision. Thanks to all for the input and help on the various issues that have arisen...

Looking good. Much like Lebowski's rug really tied the room together, that star is a nice touch.

Thanks Jim! Moved the wires over to water, took the heater apart and turned on the gas on the internal switch and fired up the hot tub. I think everything is finally working properly. Now we've just got outdoor kitchen and landscape before everything is finally wrapped up.

It looks like the probes are connected to solar and air. Should the solar have been connected to water?

Jim to the rescue, once again. Thank you sir! Both were set to pump 1, so I updated and it is working correctly now. Alright I've got one more issue for now. I can't get the heater to kick on. When I turn it on in the Pool section and set it to 80 degrees the heater doesn't power up. I'm...

First Time Owner Build in Dallas

I believe I renamed the high and low settings from features 7 and 8. Regarding your first question, I might have. When the fountain pump would turn on I thought the electricians might have wired the main pump as pump 2 so I switched the pool circuit and everything over there but I changed it...

Thanks for the response Jim. The only actuated valves are for the spa on the suction and return sides. The main pump and waterfall pump are separate systems. Yep, when I activate Pool mode there’s a short delay then both IntelliFlo pumps start and that’s when the intermittent starting/stopping...

Alright I'm hoping someone can help me with my Easy Touch 8. I've configured it but it is doing some weird stuff which leads me to believe I messed up somewhere. I have the main pump set up for the pool circuit, the spa circuit, and 2 feature circuits for a high and low speed. I have the...

Thanks Kim! That is exactly what I need, thank you for the heads up. Got it on order and arriving tomorrow. I didn't have the heart to cut down the pecan tree and I'm seriously regretting that decision!

POOL DECK QUESTION: you say it's finished? what?

Thanks for the response Amy. So they did not remove any of the brown bricks, they just put a bed of sand on top of them then laid these pavers? It seems like that would have caused drainage issues with your pool since the coping level would have been level with the bricks? What I am trying to...

POOL DECK QUESTION: you say it's finished? what?

Did they demo the old concrete deck or was it still in place before they laid the pavers?

Travertine has been installed, now just have to finalize landscape. Pool is working well ever since the fun check valve issue, currently have a skimmer partially clogged due to vacuuming leaves but I️ should be receiving my Drain King in the next couple days to try to clear it.

Out with the old (Farmers Branch/Dallas, TX)

Good question. I'm sure someone who knows more than me will come along shortly, but it looks like those niches were left for pool lights and got skimmers instead. I've never seen skimmers in a raised bond beam.

Out with the old (Farmers Branch/Dallas, TX)

From my experience that does seem to be dragging. It seems like most builders like to go from excavation to gunite pretty quickly due to what you mentioned, to minimize cave-ins. I wouldn't be surprised to see a gap between gunite and tile/masonry as boomersooner said, but it just seems like...

Yep pumps turn on and go through the priming motion. It is a Ring flood light cam, really nice to follow the progress live throughout the build! My only complaint is there’s a good 10 second delay between your alert and being able to pull up the live view. Regarding the pump problems, we have...

Thanks Marty, I've still got both hoses back there so I'll put one in each skimmer and give that a try. Good idea, I think last time I tried that the valve might have been closed so hopefully that will do the trick!

First Time Owner Build in Dallas

New Plaster Start Up Dilema Good Afternoon, I posted this in my build thread over in the under construction forum but haven't gotten any bites yet so figured it might be more appropriate here. Long story short, I GCed my pool and plaster was completed this past Wednesday afternoon with acid...

First Time Owner Build in Dallas

Good news bad news update. The good news is the pool has water! And for Kim! And now for the bad news. Neither of the intelliflo pumps are working. I’ve tried filling the plumbing back up from the skimmer, isolating the valves to try each suction source (2 skimmers and 2 floor...

First time start up - can’t get pump to prime

Yep, had the lid on tight. Changed the actuated valves to bypass the spa on both sides (it has water!). Good point about that whole gravity thing, sometimes I forget about it until the dang squirrels start throwing pecans into the pool. Remember, you’re talking to someone who didn’t know...
