    Raypak heater partially fixed

that's what I was afraid of. I'll try tapping on it a bit and see if I can shake things loose a bit. Valve on my BBQ used to do that and if I shut the gas off and tapped it a few times with an end wrench it would start working. Failing that its looking like a $170 part.

    Raypak heater partially fixed

I don't smell gas but I can definitely feel clicking. The whole valve/pipe assembly vibrates to the touch.

    Raypak heater partially fixed

Yes it is lighting. I can see blue flame and the glowing tines of the fork portion that is over the flame. If I have everything primed (haven't turned off the gas line and valve) then it starts up almost immediately. I'm sure it is sending a signal as it stops clicking/igniting and the main...

    Raypak heater partially fixed

Thanks for the response! I do hear a single distinct click after the pilot stops clicking and the main gas LED comes on at the same time. The model number is 355C and its outdoors with a vent stack. Ok so no thermopile, but some sort of thermal sensor/switch on the pilot assembly as there...

Looking good so far. TA down to 120 and PH at 7.5. Added 2/3 gal of MA last night and it was at 7.2 after 1hr. Put the rest of the gal in tonight and left the fountain on for tomorrow.

    Pool blues (greens?)

Hey thanks for all the feedback guys. Good to know I'm not too far off here. I'll get started on lowering the TA/PH tonight and then shock the pool once I've got that where it needs to be. I have some muriatic acid that I bought last year along with the liquid chlorine. Guess where it's...

    Pool blues (greens?)

Hi all, First time poster although I've been lurking on the site scouring for info over the last year or so (alot last summer :( ). We are renting a house in Tempe, AZ and really enjoyed the rather large diving pool last year, until it turned green that is. Knowing next to nothing about pool...
