I'm sort of faced as the same problem as you... trying to figure out if I should replace a Polaris 380 with a robotic unit since my booster pump is dead. At this point, I'm still not too sure what's a better option.

Well, uncovered my pool today. Tried to fire up the Polaris 380, but it looks like the booster pump is dead. Thinking about replacing it, but before I do, I was wondering... are there better vacuum options these days? Thoughts?

I had red brick safety coping -- replacing it now, but to answer your question no it's not at all uncomfortable!

For better or worse... I took the plunge and ordered the quartzite coping and matching tile... Pool demo starts tomorrow. Will post some pics soon!

Yea, the Mediterranean Blue looks like its a less bright than the Pacific Blue but not as dark as the French Gray -- seems kind of in the middle. I was thinking about pacific blue myself, as it really looks like it POPS out. I have a good link of a pic of a pacific blue pool if you want it...

It's natural gas. Yep, igniter is clicking but no go. I followed the troubleshooting section of the manual last night and it says either the gas valve or control board is bad. I'm going to testing using a multimeter today to see if the gas valve is getting 24vac. Thanks!!
