Brand NEW Plaster has CRACKS, need opinions on if it's a concern or not-

Plaster was done on Friday, these photos were taken the wee hours of Saturday morning during fill up (spa was filled up after the pool during the night exactly as instructed by the plasterer). There are a few cracks here and there such as below in the upper portion of the spa... not a lot, but...

Filter pressure guage reads 40 psi when running, normal? (SOLVED)

Seems a bit high? It's above the point on the guage where it says 'Clean'. JUST started up today... been putting in acid and brushing. I'll have tons of questions in the coming days/weeks... I will not lie, I don't trust my PB to have done their job properly...

    Mastic, is it needed?

Our decking will be poured soon (framing is going in). A discussion came up about the mastic that'll go around the coping (only ~1/3 of the pool/spa perimeter)... and if it is needed. Our cement guy says he pours to the coping and it looks cleaner... everyone else has just sort of gone along...

Concern about jumprock height... 3.5ft above pool into 6ft deep water?

Decided to make a thread as I want to get a lot of feedback... SO... we have a jumprock going in... once all is said and done, it should be ~3.5ft from the top of the jumprock to the top of the pool (coping). The deep end that we'll be jumping into is 6ft deep. I guess to put it simply, does...

Spa jets, what's the deal, what is a 'blower' anyways?

SO, we'll be putting in a spa soon (along with the pool)... what is the deal with the jets/ blowers/ well, just the spa in general? We obviously want it to have that bubbly frothy feeling... not, too much, but, ya know, like a spa at a hotel. I've seen these two videos on youtube... THIS is...

What is a 'bonding grid', why do I need it?

And why is it quoted by my pool cement guy (along with the walls and patio etc.) and not the PB? (I'm in Southern California (Inland Empire)) Thanks!
