Not sure if you have anything like an Atwoods (farm store) up there, but they sell gallon jugs of 10% chlorine for a 1.99 in my area and put it on sale for 1.49 frequently. Might be worth it to check for similar stores.

I would want some sort of retaining wall put in place. I would also be thinking about drainage between that retaining wall and your house. I realize I'm spending your money, but I would also consider using paver stones or something between the wall and your house.

Pool temp was 76, not bad for tap water. Initial testing below. FC - 3 CC - didn't test pH - 6.8 TA - 70 CH - 150 CYA - 0 PH is a little low, should I try and bring that up quickly or let the plaster bring it up on it's own?

Which pump are you running Kim? Which whisperflow are you running Chrissy? I was looking on Pentair's site and was looking at the whisperflow WFDS-6. 1.5hp 2 speed pump.

LOL, I asked the kids to stand 'normal' and that's what I got... I confirmed the model of pump that they have for us, Pentair 1.5hp challenger 343234. Seems to be the basic pump. Our electric rates average about $.08 per KWH. Does anyone have any pump recommendations based on that info? No...

Couple of updated pics. Steel done and plumbing will probably be done today. It is interesting to see the little differences between all the methods of builds. Everyone that is working on our pool is employed by the pool company except the electrician. Kids are excited!

That's a good question on the pump... Contract shows 2.5 hp Pentair, but doesn't mention the model. I'll have to follow up with them on Monday on which one they intended to use.. Any advice on that front? The pool has no waterfalls or water features. Thanks for catching my mess up with...
