Will an intex ultra frame xtr liner fit on older ultra frame? In other words is the top hole in the liner the same size or larger on xtr?

I'm not sure how you can make a 22 foot pool into a 24 foot pool, aren't the beams and T's built differently for every pool diameter? In any event, I have the same dilemma, I have a 14X42 round Ultra, and they discontinued the liner. The Intex rep told me over the phone that both liners are...

    Thru wall skimmer

I did not have any issues. I filled my pool just below the skimmer opening so it could stretch properly, then I cut in the square hole. I've done this on 2 pools so far. Just take your time.

Anyone try the Hayward skimmer hack and cut in larger inlet/outlet ports on a Bestway Power Steel pool?

I am considering replacing my Intex 14X42 Ultra Frame pool because the liner is faded, and I can no longer replace just the liner because it was discontinued. I was contemplating getting another Intex, but I was considering the Bestway Power Steel series. Has anyone done a skimmer hack and...

Deck collapse caused by kiddie pool

Sadly, I have a feeling we will be seeing more of these stories as more people are buying these pools to keep themselves busy this summer staying home. http://hudsonvalley.news12.com/clip/15062943/deck-collapse-caused-by-kiddie-pool-forces-evacuation-in-monsey

    Intex pool supply chain disruption??

If you never had a pool before, I would start off small and go with a 14X42. I have one, its good enough for me and my family. If you anticipate leveling issues, a bigger pool would exacerbate the problem. I usually get a new pool every 2-3 years due to the liner fading, and I was planning on...

Intex 14X42 Ultra Frame discontinued, need replacement

Thanks, but looks like no one has the Summer Waves in stock either. Looks like people are stocking up on these pools fearing they will be home all summer. I guess I will re-use my Intex pool, it is still functional, no leaks, just a little faded. Glad I did not throw it out last year.

Intex 14X42 Ultra Frame discontinued, need replacement

OK, how does the Intex Prism compare then to the Ultra Frame ? Or is there any place I can at least replace the liner for my Ultra Frame? Intex does not even carry it anymore. It is part # 12440EH When I google that part number, everyone says its out of stock.

Intex 14X42 Ultra Frame discontinued, need replacement

So I've had the Intex 14 X42 Ultra Frame pool set up for the past 8 years or so, ( replaced 4 years ago due to faded liner) its been a great pool, never any leaks, upgraded to Intex sand filter and Hayward Skimmer. So now I want to replace it again due to faded liner, and I find out the 14X42...

    New Above Ground Pool

Nice set up. Using black pipe to maximize the sun's heat transfer. Is the pool on concrete? Also the plywood under the pump, will not that rot? Why not just put it on a pad of some sort?

    Intex Ultra Frame Leveling Issues

I've had mine on concrete also 2"+ off level for years, never had issues. Then I got OCD, and actually took measurements of where all the legs were before setting up one year. I cut the bottom of the legs ( all were different measurements depending on where the leg was) And I was able to split...

    Intex Dual Suction Outlets

Same here, installed a Hayward skimmer, but I actually used one of the outlet lines as the new inlet since it sits lower in the water than the original inlet line. So I end up plugging the second outlet, and the original inlet.

Another in-wall skimmer on an Intex pool

I stand corrected, I was able to drill between the stitching and still keep skimmer flush with wall.

Another in-wall skimmer on an Intex pool

Just an FYI, I was going to do just that, drill between the stitching, but the problem is that then the skimmer itself will not sit flush against the pool wall, it will be at an angle due to the slope of the wall going around the top brace, so I tested mine prior to marking the holes, and I went...

New re-designed Intex 14X42" Ultra frame pool, question on double suction outlets

Re: New re-designed Intex 14X42" Ultra frame pool, question on double suction outlets My plumbing is correct, I used the original outlet as the new inlet since it was lower in the water, and i used the original inlet as a secondary outlet ( primary is the skimmer) which I believe was not...

    Best foundation/base for AGP?

I used the 2X2 interlocking mats over concrete, has worked well for many years. And I actually went an extra step to make my pool somewhat level since it is off by 2 1/2 inches due the concrete sloping away from my house. I took a string level and marked where every part of the legs sit on the...

New re-designed Intex 14X42" Ultra frame pool, question on double suction outlets

Re: New re-designed Intex 14X42" Ultra frame pool, question on double suction outlets Thanks, yes was a lot of work to get it set up with all the hard plumbing, but once done, it worked great. Which leads me to my next question. Does anyone know if the inlet and outlets are the same locations...

New re-designed Intex 14X42" Ultra frame pool, question on double suction outlets

New re-designed Intex 14X42" Ultra frame pool, question on double suction outlets I had a 14X42" Intex Ultra Frame for the past 3 years, but decided to throw it away after last season due to the liner being so faded. I had done the usual upgrades, Sand Filter, Hayward Skimmer, larger inlet/...

Alternative to 2X2 interlocking foam mats?

Been using the same 2X2 Interlocking foam mats for about 6 years now on my Intex, and I think I need to replace ow because they are so beat up. Anyone used anything else for their Intex? I like the 2X2 mats, but wondering if there is an alternative I have not seen yet.

    Comparing Bestway pools to Intex

I've had the Intex 14X42 Ultra Frame pool for the past 6 years or so, and finally had to trash it last year because the liner was so faded, and poles starting to rust, so now I'm looking to replace it. Just curious if anyone has tried other pools other than Intex and can they compare the...

Looking for 110V heater for Intex 14X42 pool

OK thanks. My dilemma is where my pool is now gets sun from 11:00AM- 5PM at peak ( Jun 21st). I have a split level house, so the pool is behind the higher peak, blocks out more of the sun. Plus the pool is adjacent to a few tall trees that seem to grow more every year, robs of sunlight early in...

Looking for 110V heater for Intex 14X42 pool

Can anyone recommend a good 110V heater for my Intex 14X42 pool. It is only 3,300 gallons, and unfortunately I do not have 220 service by my pool, nor do I have gas. I only have a 20A 110V circuit by my pool. Intex did make a small 110V heater few years ago, but they do not make them anymore...
