    Solar cover reel?

I am looking to see if I can somehow get a solar cover reel for my pool cover. The shape is so "strange" that it may not be possible. I have to buy a 24x40 rectangle cover and cut it to fit the pool. It is so heavy to pull off everytime we want to use the pool that unfortunately once it's...

Best way to dispose of used DE

I am looking for ways to dispose of the used DE in the Quad Cartridge DE Filter. My equipment pad is all concrete and there is not place to flush, rinse the cartridges off that seems to be good. How are other people capturing the DE during the cleaning of their DE filter and then disposing of...

How to fix rough concrete from saltwater pool

I had my pool remodeled and a new concrete deck poured about 3 years ago. I was never told to seal the cement deck (my fault for not realizing I needed to) and now the cement is rough and crumbling in high water areas. The areas where the kids get in and out a lot and splash a lot. What can I...

    Filter recommendation needed

I am replacing my pump with a VS pump and am contemplating replacing my existing DE filtet due to age. I also don't have a good way to backwash it due to location. Do you recommend a sand, cartridge, or DE filter? Any specific brand to stay away from? Thanks!

    LED light guidance

I am renovating my IG pool and would like a new LED light. I'm still not sure about color vs White. Attached is the light I have currently. What is the best way to convert to LED? I think my current light is 12V as I have 2 black transformers at my pool equipment pad. Current light is 500W...

    Removing heater from equipment pad

I have an old rusted out heater that I want to remove from the equipment pad. It doesn't work and it also appear to be leaking water since the water still flows through it. I plan to re-plumb and bypass the heater. The equipment pad is higher than the IG pool. Do I need to do anything...

Looking forward to dropping my pool service... and my first test results are in...

I moved into a home with a pool in early March. I have had a pool service coming weekly for maintenance. I decided to try to my hand at the TFP method and got my TF-100 Test Kit and ran my first full battery of tests today. Here are the results: FC - 11 CC - 0 pH - 7.2 TA - 160 CH - 450 CYA...

Previous homeowner removed concrete pool deck and left gap around skimmer

I recently moved into my home and it has an IG plaster pool. It appears that the previous homeowner removed the pool deck (it seems to have been stamped concrete) and replaced it with pavers. The pavers look nice (but are HOT under the sun) but they do not surround the entire pool. Previous...

Best pumice to clean scale on tile

I am a new pool owner (old pool, new to me). The tiles are all covered in white scaled and I decided to take a pumice stone to some today. It cleans off quite easily but it went through my cheap $3 pumice stone very quickly. Does anyone have any recommendations for pumice stone brands,etc...
