    recycling pool filters

    hi..any ideas on recycling used pool filters? They seem mainly paper except for the plastic top and bottom...We're in Sammamish (WA) and so far no luck with google searching or our local King County recycling program. Perhaps I could at least cut off the plastic and able to recycle the paper...

    hi there...dismantling pool and lots of trouble getting the metal bars to separate... sprayed a SMALL amount of "wd-40" on the joints (that helped, but then realized thru google-search it was actually the fabric being "sticky" that was causing the difficulty).
