I am a Baquacil convert and love BBB. I am trying to help my sister with her pool. It is cloudy...I know to continue to shock until it clears my question is ...her ph is 8.2....do we just clear it up first and then work on the ph? Thanks Deb

well I guess I don't worry about getting it 6 inches below the skimmer. I just leave the hose attached and let the water drain out that collects from the rain.

First Question...you can lower the water by unhooking the hose under the skimmer basket and just let it drain out. Second Question...I use a full cover not the net. It keeps leaves out and keeps sun light off the pool which causes algae to grow.If you have a lot of leaves you can put a net over...

In pool school it says before closing to get your pool to shock level and keep it there for 24 hours. I'm not exactly sure what that means..I know what shock level means...but what does it mean for 24 hours? do I test every few hours and add bleach for 24 hours? Thanks Deb :hammer:

what is your cc number? are you converting from Baqucil or just having problems with a cloudy pool?

That is what I have also been told. We have one in our pool but we just try not bother it,but I'm sure it would be ok to do what he said. I found a hole in my liner a few days ago...in the cove. bummer. Maybe if you don't want to tap it back,get a patch and put over it to make it stronger?

I don't know what saturation index means.I don't have plaster...I have an AG pool.

I also have a cartridge and hated it when I used Baqucil. I don't remember cleaning mine that often during conversion, but here is a suggestion. Get 2 filters..you can go ahead and being filtering while you are cleaning the other. I didn't read all the post so someone may have already suggested...

ok this is my first year to actually use BBB. I converted after swim season in the fall. Up until now my water has looked great. Now it is cloudy FC.4.2 CC.0 PH 7.6....thats the hardest for me to read TA 60 CYA50 1.Would the TA being low cause the pool to be cloudy?What should I bring it up...

ok...hole got bigger .Now about the size of a nickel. Got it patched...just hope it holds. I think the problem is water washing the dirt out from under the pool and some how a rock or something sharp poked a hole in the liner. How do we fix it? You can see where the dirt has washed out and left...
