Help! Cloudy and not holding chlorine.

Does CYA ever go down on its own? Like I said, I can't imagine draining for a 3rd time right before winterizing. :( It is suppose to get close to 90 next week and it would be nice to be able to use our pool for a little while before winterizing. I have spent the day trying to keep the FC at 30...

Help! Cloudy and not holding chlorine.

The black dot disappears right away and that is holding it up higher at chest level. I have the Taylor K-2006. (I'll put that in my signature)

Help! Cloudy and not holding chlorine.

Oops, forgot to put in the CYA of 200. I am as well baffled by the number!!! I have not added anything but bleach and some muriatic acid and after the 1st drain a used about 6/7cups of Lithium Hypo that I had left (after reading didn't think this had stabilizer). There are NO pucks in the...

Help! Cloudy and not holding chlorine.

Okay, I'm back on here with still more problems :( After draining my 32,000 gallon pool down to a foot in the shallow end TWICE in August I have just refilled again this week and have tested the CYA to find that it is still 200 according to the K-2006 test kit. Needless to say I am sick about...

Help! Cloudy and not holding chlorine.

I'm draining the pool today and am wondering if it is okay to refill with our well water? I tested the calcium hardness of the well water and got 300. It is not very hard and is good for drinking with very little to no iron.

Help! Cloudy and not holding chlorine.

Is there anyway to get around draining and refilling the pool? (We will be having to close it in a little over a month anyway due to Iowa weather) We have well water which I have had tested and it really isn't that hard, but am wondering if it is making the Calcium levels high? I would have to...

Help! Cloudy and not holding chlorine.

Thank for the advise! This is our 3rd season and the 2nd year we have spent that much with this store (they put in the pool as well). I think my husband went on Amazon and bought a a Taylor K-2006. We haven't got it yet. But, is this test kit going to work? I'm really curious to see what the...

Help! Cloudy and not holding chlorine.

In just in the last 2 weeks I have spent over $1600 in chemicals from a pool store near our rural town, and still have zero chlorine levels on my test kit. I am thinking now after researching that I might have an algae problem, but can't see it. Although, the water is now cloudy after dumping...
