When I put my numbers in the pool calculator: FC=3, pH=7.4, TA=70, CH=200, CYA=60, borates=50, salt=3100 and the temp is 85. I get a CSI= -0.64. Is this a problem or a potential problem?

At the beginning of the season, just after opening, my CYA measured at zero. I calculated I need about 12 lBs of CYA to get my 25000 gals up to 60 ppm CYA. I am still reading about 30-40 with my K-2006 and Color Q tests. Should I add more or just let it be? Thanks!

I poured what I thought was algaecide 60 into my spa and got a lot of foam. The label said it was non-foaming but it foamed like crazy. All my numbers were good, pH, Cl, TA, etc. so I'm not sure what happened. Any ideas? Thanks.

I used the pool calculator and it says I would need to add about 88 lbs of Borax to get 50 ppm of borates into my 25000 gal pool. Is this correct?

Most of the time when I test for Cl I use the 10 ml sample size, 0.5 ppm per drop. When you add the DPD powder to the 10 ml sample should you use 1 scoop vs. the 2 scoops used when you use the 25 ml sample? Also, do you still use 5 drops of the reagent with the 10 ml sample when checking for CC?

I clean mine out once a week under normal circumstances, i.e. no big wind storms etc. They're pretty full of leaves and bugs when I clean them out, I do use skimmer socks by the way. Just wondering if I should clean them out more often.

Here's a plot of the Pentair Whisperflo pump performance, I have the 1.5 HP pump. Is the Y-axis, Ft. of Water, the vertical distance between the pool and the pump? I'm trying to determine appoximately how many gallons per minute my pump pumps.
