    Adding CYA

Would it be ok to let it dissolve in a bucket and then pour in front of the return? Seems like it would be faster then the sock in the skimmer.

    Adding CYA to pool

I just bought a 25 lb tub and I know your suppose to put it in a sock in front of the return or in the skimmer. My question how do you know how much 80oz is? And can you handle the acid or do you need gloves? Any other tips would be appreciated.

Pool timers - I want to install a timer, what would you recommend for my equipment?

I added the SWG and couldn't be happier but even running at 10% I can't get my chlorine below 7. So I am thinking I could run the pump and SWG at 10 to 12 hours a day and save some money and lower my chlorine in the process. I spoke to my electrician and am looking at an outdoor mechanical...

Another benefit since adding my SWG no worms after it rains!

Has anyone else noticed this? I used to have worms in the shallow end after it rained, since I put in the SWG I haven't had any worms after it rains.

I would like your opinions on converting to SWG? Pros and Cons?

I used pucks for the first year about 2 1/2 months of pool being built and open late last summer. The cost is $1300 to have it converted. I know my pump won't last as long.

    Pool Cover question

My automatic pool cover is sagging and where it meets the shallow end it isn't flush with the wall. About 1 inch gap and about 6 feet long. Is this a problem? The water level at closing was just below the skimmer and it is frozen now. Been cold winter so far in Minnesota.
