    have a kit that is a couple years old. Have ordered all new reagents. In the meantime with the Taylor, test for CYA reads around 60 and new test strips read zero. Do the reagents for CYA go bad after several years?

    Taylor test kit

    I need new reagents for my kit. How often do you replace old reagents and where do you get them? It looks as if it is almost cheaper to buy a whole new kit.

    flow rates

    I was reading on the site poolplaza.com and they have a section on pump sizing. They say "For each 1.5 inch intake line, the maximum flow into the pump will be 42 gallons per minute (GPM)". so my flow will be less. Does this mean that a large filter will just be more efficient.

    New SWG owner needs advise

    Today I bought 650 lbs. of salt 99.8%. All I have to do is dump all the salt in the pool, brush it around to help dissolve, wait a few days and turn the unit on? Am I missing something? I will test the chemicals with a Taylor 2005 kit.
