    ph and Alkilinity

So... I'm now helping my friend with her little pool. She has ph so low it doesn't register and 0 alkalinity. What do I raise first or how do I address this? It's a 3700 gal. pool. I put in 4 lbs of baking soda and some Borax. Was that a good thing? When I left her house it was still low...

    SLAM, I'm a believer

Perseverance and patience is the key to the SLAM in my opinion. It worked. The algae is gone, the water back almost to 100% clarity. Hardest part has been getting the dead algae out without a vacuum. Learned a lot, hope to avoid going through it again. Going to maintain SLAM FC level for an...

    We love our tiny pool!

    Small, 10' x 3' pool chemical conversions

So I have been fairly fastidious on maintaining my water chemistry. However, after some significant rain, I have an algae bloom. My chlorine (by tablet) is high as is my free chlorine. How do I get an algae bloom with high chlorine? What am I doing wrong. Says my ph is low. I thought...
