    AGP Depth - 54" vs 48"

The grandkids are growing like weeds so the next pool will be deeper. 54" is the deepest I've seen, is it worth it over a 48 inch? Appreciate any thoughts/experiences on the subject. Thx!

    Official ammonia protocol

Does TFP have an official ammonia protocol and is it this?: "We recommend raising your FC to 10 ppm. Circulate the pool for 30 minutes. Test FC, if 5 or below, raise FC to 10 ppm, circulate for 30 minutes, repeat until your FC is above 5 ppm after circulating for 30 minutes" I seen others but...

Dolphin E10 for an Intex soft sided pool?

My pool is surrounded by trees and I'm tired of manual pool cleaning. The idea of a robot sounds appealing but I know little about them. Would something like the Dolphin E10 work for my Intex pool? Seems many units say they aren't for soft sided AG pools (not sure why not?) but the Dolphin...

    Burning eyes

Hi, I did a complete fresh fill of the pool and for the first few days had nothing but chlorine in. Water felt good with no burning sensation in the eyes. FC = 0.5 - 2 CC=0 CH = 25 TA = 30 pH = 7.4 Cya=0 I then added cya (30ppm). That killed my pH (6.8 or lower) so I then added...

Causes for ph dropping in manually chlorinated pool

There are a lot of posts about controlling rising ph but ph in my pool continually drops. I only use bleach which I understand is net neutral. I don't use pucks so can rule that out. Rain could be acidic but it drops even with no rain and besides I have a hard cover so no rain gets in anyway...

    Intex cartridge filters

I've seen posts from experienced people saying intex cartridge filters are junk. Why is that? I haven't really seen an explanation. What are the benefits of upgrading?

Any technical reason OTO chlorine test limited to 5 versus 10 ppm?

I notice the 9056 DPD comparator goes to 10 after many years of being limited to 5. Taylor made a big deal in their blurbs for the new extended range comparator about how great it is. So I was wondering if there is any technical reason why Taylor couldn't do the same for the OTO comparator...

New TF-100 test kit...CYA test headaches

So I did the CYA test using the 50ppm standard solution...back to sun, waist high, glance at dot etc...and got a reading of....30! Did it again (and again) under many different lighting and test conditions indoors and out...still 30. Decided to watch the TF100 video. Noticed they say "back to...

    water test results

Hi, I have a small round pool for my grandson and, being new to pools, am using it to learn proper maintenance. The plan is to migrate to a larger pool as he gets older. Anyway, I had the water tested by the pool store and am looking for feedback/discussion of the results. The results are...
