We have a Doheny’s Discovery. Trouble settling on a name. Wife likes Wall-E, but that’s taken. Son likes Gort. I’m leaning toward Mr. Clean, or maybe Vacuum da Gama of explorer fame.

I just pulled the trigger on the Doheny Discovery before the sale price runs out November 6! I am jazzed. This is the first step in upgrading a bunch of stuff and moving toward automation and stuff. Very excited to welcome the little guy to his new home. Maybe i'll call him Gort. or Mr. Clean...

Agreed on the single speed pump. This is part of a much larger equipment relocation and upgrade, including an IntelliFlow VS pump. Maybe the pump upgrade will solve my current issue, which is this. When I set both skimmers wide open, I only get good flow through one of them. To have both...

Actually, the Intellivalve actuator does 7.5 degree increments across the 180 deg swing. Some flow meter measurements at pump preset speeds allow you to measure each flow and setup modes to better balance flows. Or such is my working theory. Jandy makes an add on board that does the same thing...

I've been looking at automation options and have similar needs for pre-sets, scenes and on-the-fly adjustments. I didn't see anyone mention the Jandy Smart JVA add-on boards. They can go either on the actuators or in the power center, if there's room. They are supposed to allow valves to be set...

We are thinking about getting bids to relocate our pool equipment (heater, filter, new pump, possible automation upgrade). Anyone have recent experience in having this done? I'm guessing we need a PB/renovator and will probably need to coordinate with an electrician and gas company to move the...

Just a thought... As far as your PB goes, don't forget about online web reviews for leverage. I had a channel drain installed along with French drains to move storm water to back of property and stop flooding the pool and spa. They messed up the channel drain. Phone calls and emails did no good...
