How Clear is TFP Clear? Let's See (Pics Only Please).

I don't see how ya'll do it up there. I love fall and hunting season. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New years. After that, I'm out in the yard yelling GTFO at the sky. Oh, and nobody told me about the winter depression of pool ownership. I would just stand at the back door looking out towards the...

Should I just let my heat pump run?

My math put me around 104kwh daily average for my 119,000btu Raypak HP and Jandy 2.7hp vsp running 24/7@ 2100rpm. I'm at .9kwh so that cost me $350 for the month of April to have my pool water 80-91degs

High PH for 3 weeks now.

My pool was finished July last year. I have fought PH and TA for almost a year now. It's just part of the cycle. Have no fear. Get ya a test kit and get some numbers posted and we'll work it out from there. My TA was holding at 140 the whole time I've had my pool and Ph wanted to be 8.2 or...

You have the same crab! After a few cocktails..... we start cracking jokes as to why he is so smug and why he's so mad at the world.

    Looking for recommendation on SWG

I can only answer this. The salt water feel, imho, is worth the cost of the swg. After swimming all last summer and getting out feeling like a desert lizard.... the salt water feels like getting outta spring water.

    Looking for recommendation on SWG

I have the Edge40 for my 14750 pool. Just installed it right before Easter. Been happy with it. It's a learning curve trying to find the best setting and run time. I have my pump going 24/7 (2100rpm) do to heating with the HP. My cell is on 50%. I had it on 12.5% in the mid 70's water temp. Once...

Heat Pump not requiring a GFCI breaker - why?

Just installed a HP 2 weeks ago. I did not know this and assumed it needed a GFCI. Mine has a 60amp GFCI looking at it.

    Pellet grills

My woodwind is basically a new machine because I've replaced a lot of parts. That is the nice thing about going cheap, you can keep them alive by buying cheap parts on amazon. I've replaced the controller, auger motor, fan, temp sensor. It's not ideal but it works.

    Pellet grills

IMHO.... if my Woodwind ever dies, I've brought it back from the grave 3 times. I feel as if these folks make the best pellet grill and they will be who gets my money. My in laws have one and they haven't had a single hiccup for the numerus years they've owned it. It's a beast...

    Leaving robot in pool?

I leave mine in till the pool is clean. Then I'll throw it in storage. I don't find it bothersome. But I also have a in-floor system.... If I didn't the robot would spend more time in the pool. We tried to swim with it in this weekend and I just couldn't do it. Kinda like leaving all the swim...

    Bees in the hot tub

Maybe they are telling me something. Maybe I should look up bee keeping. My observation is they are after they heat. I find a few in the pool but not much. But they seem to be drawn to what little heat is escaping from the tub. That and the water.

    Bees in the hot tub

Who here is fighting bees getting in/around your tub? It happens every spring. Wife went out today and got medieval with some peppermint oil. TBD If this happens to you, what's your tactic? It's got a brand new lid, but they can find the smallest crack. I have bees in the water and swarming...
