I have a Pentair Intelliflo 4X160 variable speed pump (has been replaced by VS-3050 Variable Speed Pump). Costs a little more, but saves quite a bit on power usage.

Hi donna, One thing that jumps out at me is that your CYA (stabilizer) level is a bit low contrary to ChlorEASE recommendation. They say that 80 ppm is optimum and you are at 50 ppm. I have attached the instruction manual if you see that a cleaning is necessary. For most SWG's a 4 parts water...

Ditto, spareribs. I used a new rub called Grub Rub recommended by my butcher guy. We'll see what happens.

How much FC are you losing overnight? You said it dropped to 2.5, but from where? If your are losing more than 1.0 ppm of FC overnight and/or your water is cloudy/tinted or you have CC above 0.5 you need to maintain shock levels. Otherwise, enjoy your pool!

The way our systems is plumbed, the "socket" for the Legend is just another return except that the booster pump is piped into it. In other words, it will always have the same flow as the other returns until the booster pump is turned on.

JohnT is right on the money! You can anticipate fighting pH creeping upwards for at least the first month due to the plaster curing. I went through about 5 gallons of muratic acid during that time, then it leveled off somewhat. So you are right to keep a close eye on that. I added CYA...

Nod, CC of 0.5 is not that uncommon for a "normal" pool, also could be the error allowance in the test. You defintely need CYA up to 30 -50 ppm. Your pH is fine for now (7.2-7.6 is ideal). Your TA is high, which means your pH will probably drift upwards with any aeration (rain, splashing...

Looks like your fill water will have acceptable (yet just a bit on the higher end) levels for TA and CH. You can add the CYA straight to your skimmer (pump running). Add about 2/3's of the total amount and wait 4-7 days and retest before adding more. It takes CYA sometimes a week to fully...

Excellent work loridud! Like Craig said, keep bringing the chlorine up to shock level until it loses less than 1 ppm overnight and you have CC less than 0.5. You'll be there in no time!
