Reverse Math to determine Pool Size

Greetings all! Inherited a pool that came with the house - is there a way to reverse calculate the pools volume based upon affect of a predetermined amount of chemicals? For example, wait until night, turn SWG off, test, add 40 oz of 10% liquid bleach and test again in 30 minutes? I know and...

pebblesheen issues with install in deep end - anybody had similar issues?

Don't get me wrong - I understand and like variations in pebbletec/sheen. I like the natural look. Other areas in the pool have normal slight variations. Some mottled areas. ZERO problems with that. This doesn't look like that. It looks like a dirty deep end with very defined...

pebblesheen issues with install in deep end - anybody had similar issues?

Also I will say when they did the pebblesheen - the deep end right where the drains are (problem area) was left with a few inches of water standing there all day and remained there until the acid wash. Not sure if that has something to do with it or what. Thankfully I have it all documented...

pebblesheen issues with install in deep end - anybody had similar issues?

Yes mine is def not just a small area around the drain is the majority of the deep end - or should I say the majority of the deepest area in the deep end as the pool is quite large. The rest of the pool is beautiful which makes this look so much worse. They are going to get back to us and...

pebblesheen issues with install in deep end - anybody had similar issues?

The guy that sold us the pebblesheen pointed that they are able to get it much more consistent than the other finishes. Each pool we have seen is way way more even than this. Yours is similar? Color is blue granite btw but still balancing chemicals.

pebblesheen issues with install in deep end - anybody had similar issues?

We had pebblesheen installed last week and right off the bat we had issues with inconsistencies in the deep end with streaks and splotches. Here is what it looked like after filling Imgur They told us - yes that was not right and they would send a diver to touch up. I am afraid that the...

That is beautiful Ricky! By the way I am the wife posting on muffin_dad account - shhhh don't tell him. He seems more secure on the blue granite choice so I think that is where we will end up. I am the one that doubts the choice the most but I tend to have a hard time choosing anything...

Pool reno can't decide between Pebbletec Tahoe Blue or Blue Granite PebbleSheen

Yes it looks fabulous - we like the fact that blue granite looks blue without looking like windex and yet it doesn't look swampy either like some of the more greenish pebbles can look.

    Liquid CYA

Re: SLAM with zero CYA? True, but I had the same situation - CYA 0 and wouldn't hold chlorine and had to do a SLAM. I'd rather pay a bit more and have it done right away than wait a week. Leslie's had liquid CYA for $47/gallon in the store, but they price matched a $27/gallon on their own...

I'm at Leslie's buying some liquid CYA and about to do a SLAM so I ask the pool guy "Do you have any liquid chlorine?" Pool guy - "NO! That is illegal!" Me - Really? I can buy a truckload of it next door at WalMart, it's called bleach. Pool guy - "Oh no that is BLEACH not liquid chlorine...
