Pool Light Identify and Replacement Options

Thanks you are right :) I guess I can worry about it if somebody kicks it out one day.

Pool Light Identify and Replacement Options

I dd reach out to inyopools, but probably a little late friday so I got impatient a got a decent deal on an Amazon Returned IntelliBrite 5G Color SPA Light. Whoever did my conduit, did a nice job so it was an easy 5 minute job to pull out the old and put in the new cable. I noticed the...

    Adjusting In Floor Pool Cleaners

I have at times moved it to the point where the flow valve shut off the heater, but I would also like to know what kind of flow works best for the heater. And does that optimum flow change after the water has reached its temperature?

    Adjusting In Floor Pool Cleaners

Dodger and jonpcar Aren't we talking about two different kinds of Bypass here (Last two posts)? In my case and I'm guessing also in Dodgers case we are just talking about bypassing the Heater, not the In floor Valve. I two am surprised Dodger and I don't see the biggest pressure with a full...

Question for the guys who buried their chlorine tanks in 100F+ environments

How much of a temperature drop do you experience in a sandy environment 4 feet below surface where it is 100F+ above? Or have you measured the temperature of your chlorine during the day when its 100F+ above? I didn't have the option to dig down and I did a test over my first month with...

Pool Light Identify and Replacement Options

I will do that. I am almost 100% sure that this is what I have: Pentair 77168100 Stainless Steel AquaLight Halogen Quartz Light 120-Volt 250-Watt, 50-Feet Cord The thought of having LED is appealing since I would like to keep the pool light on together with the landscape lighting. I am...

Pool Light Identify and Replacement Options

I would definetely prefer an LED option, but I am afraid I won’t be happy with a 7.5w led option that only put out 150 Lumens. I’m sure the 250W Halogen put out more lumens than that and I wasn’t too impressed with that one. Wish there was a 35W or so LED version in that size.

Pool Light Identify and Replacement Options

The size looks right, but I am curious about the wattage. The bulb in my unit was a 250W bulb of the following kind: Amazon.com: Pentair 79113800 130-Volt, 250-Watt Halogen Quartz Screw Base Bulb Replacement Pool and Spa Light: Garden Outdoor Can't help but wonder if the fixture was even rated...

Pool Light Identify and Replacement Options

Trying to identify my pool light and figure out what options I have. Still trying to figure out if I need to switch out just the bulb or the fixture. Light filled with water and threw the GFCI. Not 100% sure if the water is coming in from the front or rear. I emptied the light and it has been...

Controlling Stenner with a Flow Switch?

Very true, but the ability to adjust my levels remotely is extremely appealing to me. Only thing that scares me is accidently dumping 15 gallons of acid into my pool :stirpot:

Controlling Stenner with a Flow Switch?

Doing it like that actually opens up a lot of opportunities. Since I am going to ad an acid injection system also (So two Stenners) it ends up being cheaper using a Raspberry Zero W and a relay module. Hooking it up to the motor directly gives me the option to either have the Stenner take care...

Optimize Your In-Floor Cleaning Effectiveness and Efficiency

I am not just 100% convinced a parallel path will reduce my TDH. Anyway since I do have type 2 heads I can upgrade them to venturi heads which would further reduce the need for increased pressure at the manifold: Gamma 4 Venturi Power A Manufacturing

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

I have the Econ T so it has a timer built in. I just want the extra safety knowing the pump is running when I'm dispensing. Personally I will stick to the solution with a Flow switch on the line where I am dispensing chemicals since I could have the pump going full speed, but not delivering to...

Optimize Your In-Floor Cleaning Effectiveness and Efficiency

But I did kind of test it. Any flow directed anywhere else but my cleaners lowers my pressure at the manifold. Even one little click on the Jandy. Yes, my Pump is showing me that GPM increases, but my infloor cleaners are getting less flow nonetheless.

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

I actually see it as a plus that it doesn't work at low flows. I prefer my chemical injection to happen during my cleaning cycle, so if it doesn't work during my low flow filtering its actually a plus.

    Stenner Econ T?

Yes the motor is probably offset too much. Maybe the pump head itself can be turned Guess I have to take it apart to figure it out.

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

It lists compatibility with a large range of Chlorine generators. From reading the reviews from some of the other Flow switches with the same compatibilities it seems pretty likely that its just a two wire normally open switch. People troubleshoot these by shortening a telefon wire and plugging...

    Stenner Econ T?

Regnar, I know this is an old post, but did you get the impression its possible to flip the front with the motor 180 so the timer panel ends up on the opposite side when the pump correctly mounted?

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

Flow switch is only $31. So probably a better way to go. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MR8371I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Controlling Stenner with a Flow Switch?

Stenner has it's own timer and my Pentair is programmed to start before and end after the Stenner. Its just a safety precaution in case my Pentair doesn't run for some reason. Probably an overkill. I even have a Pentair Check Valve, but I don't like that it is restricting my flow, so I would...

Optimize Your In-Floor Cleaning Effectiveness and Efficiency

You are correct. I could very easily ad a T on my return line bypassing all my additional plumbing and go directly to the infloor cleaner. This would most likely give me higher pressure at the manifold, but on the other hand my pressure is already pretty decent. An other issue with this is that...

Controlling Stenner with a Flow Switch?

I was actually considering wiring the dry contact relay between the circuit board and the pump motor inside the Stenner. See any problems doing it like that except for warranty issues? They have gone home for the day, but I have sent them an email. I don't even know if I would need debounce...

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

In my case, all pump programming is done on the pump itself. So running this of the pool pump timer is out of the question.

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

Yes, I will be doing some Plumbing and adding a second Stenner for Acid injecrion anyway, so a good time to ad a flow switch as well. In my case pressure at the filter is no guaranteed that I have flow where I inject my Chlorine, so the flow switch will work bettet in my setup.
