New Imagine Pools Freedom in South Louisiana

Plumbing is finished. That’s a lot of pipe. Pump is super strong even at factory settings. Finishing the retaining wall and lighting next week, forming deck and laying out drainage, running gas lines for lanterns, ordering Bluestone coping and decking. Still a ways to go, but getting there.

Dolphin Supreme M Series Owner’s Club

Thoughts on how these will clean fiberglass and specifically the safety ledge? I’m assuming the far end would be easy as it’s smooth top to bottom. How about the ridges on the sides? Trying to decide between M400/M500 or possibly S series. Thanks

New Imagine Pools Freedom in South Louisiana

6 weeks has been a long time to research and dream...and although we can save some money, it will wind up costing us a lot more, ha. Original plan was concrete patio, concrete coping, Pentair easytouch 8, Pentair equipment and Polaris 380 with 1 bubbler and 4 led lights. Now planning on select...

New Imagine Pools Freedom in South Louisiana

Crazy weather in south Louisiana this week. It’s been 6 weeks since the initial install, 5 weeks since repair. It’s taken a while to sort everything out but we’re ready to get things moving again...as soon as the snow melts. All warranties remain intact, we received a $1,500 discount on the...

    Any experience with Black Limestone?

Yes I saw that I don’t want to have to seal anything. I’m ok with it fading from black to gray as long as it doesn’t bleach out to concrete light gray. They are sending samples next week. I’m searching hard for affordable but quality bluestone.

    Any experience with Black Limestone?

I did a few searches and couldn’t find much info here, so started a new thread. Does anyone one have experience with black limestone? We are doing select blue thermal bluestone coping and trying to decide on decking. First choice is naturally bluestone, but I can get black limestone which is...

    Heat Pump One Week Analysis

Watching closely as we’re considering heating through most of “winter” here in Louisiana if we ever finish installing the pool. Our co-op rate is $0.05194

New Imagine Pools Freedom in South Louisiana

As you can see in earlier pics, the yard slopes down ~2ft. I’d like a narrow (as possible) wall from approximately midways of the deep end on the left, running around the end of the pool, to midways of the right side. This will give the appearance of an endless pool without the overflowing...

Update: The crack was fixed and looks great, no noticeable marks and will be 2 1/2 feet underwater. All warranties remain as new. Still ironing out details of discounts and equipment list. That will determine if we proceed with this shell, or have a new one built. - - - Updated - - - The next...

NEW Fiberglass pool Cracked! Need Advice

Thanks all. I am confident PB will honor it. He’s been in business 17 years and has a stellar reputation in the area, including some high end builds in the French Quarter of NO. This is our forever home on family land (Lord willing). I am pricing crushed concrete for backfill and deck base, as...

    Heat/Cool Pump + Auxillary Heater

This is the type of thing we’re wanting to do. Add Solar or a Propane Heater to assist the Heat Pump in extending the swimming season. I’m interested in the cost/benefit of solar vs propane, but there’s not a lot of information out there. We won’t close our pool since winter is mild...

    Heat/Cool Pump + Auxillary Heater

Thanks, yes I’m not aware of any pool HPs with aux built in, but could add a heater to help on colder days. There are a few folks on here with setups like this (been reading older posts). I may pm some of them directly. Like you mention, it might not be realistic or beneficial. I’m looking for...

    Heat/Cool Pump + Auxillary Heater

Anybody running a Heat Pump AND Auxiliary Heater Combo? I’m looking for some general feedback on satisfaction. My house is setup this way and works well, except that the aux is electric and is expensive when it kicks in as the temp drops below mid-30s. We should have gone LP I guess. NG is more...

NEW Fiberglass pool Cracked! Need Advice

Repair will be with hand laid woven fiberglass. PB and Imagine rep state it will be stronger than new. Quality of gelcoat match will be a major factor. PB admits there was too much water for this shell due to the chopped fiberglass construction. He maintains that the woven fiberglass such as...

NEW Fiberglass pool Cracked! Need Advice

Ok, lots going on the past few days. PB has come out multiple times and has a plan I’m satisfied with. His initial response was replace the shell ASAP, and that option remains open to me at anytime. An Imagine technician will come out next week to repair the pool onsite. This part has to be done...

NEW Fiberglass pool Cracked! Need Advice

I put more details in my build thread, I’ll add here. The sand bed was well packed and leveled underneath. I was present for the install. We were expecting several inches of rain within hours of install so they packed in a foot or more of sand all around the pool and added some water to try to...
