Does anyone have some great DIY or off-the-shelf solutions for peeping sun and rain off my new pump/motor? I have a VGreen 165 and want to be sure I keep this motor in good condition by keeping as much rain and UV as possible off the unit to preserve it.

I’ll give the drill against the side a shot. I feel it is somewhere around the impeller end as it’s not as loud when I press my ear to the fan end of the housing vs the wet end.

It does have a fan but the sound is not coming from that end of motor.

I’ll make a new one but the motor and pump are not moving at all. The sound is coming from inside, where the motor and pump housing meet. All bolts/fasteners are tight. I’ll get a new one and see if you can see sound in the next one. Do you also hear colors?

We have had our pool pump out of order for 3 weeks and the pool is a mess. I know vacuuming is needing to be done (we brush and put bleach and muriatic in) but once the motor is replaced we will vacuum. What constitutes heavy gunk? Is algae likely to go through the garden hose ok?
