New contract / New build - SE Pennsylvania, Gunite free form pool and spa

How much is your PB charging to manage the fence? If its a couple bucks / linear foot it is probably well worth it. Either way you are buying fence and paying to have it installed. (it all comes down to $/l-f) If you can push that responsibility off to your PB (assuming he can get the...

New contract / New build - SE Pennsylvania, Gunite free form pool and spa

Keep in mind that it could be very tricky to coordinate the fencing when it is time. In my case, they can't finish (pebble tec) until they know they can fill within a few days. They can't fill until the fence is up. The fence cant go up until they are done with all the patio/grading/etc. At...

New 600 SF in ground pool - SE PA (Valley Forge)

We are using black onyx piedimonte from techo-bloc for our spa and retaining wall capping. Black onyx bullnose on the pool. Silver stamped concrete for decking. The piedimonte looks super nice sitting on a pallet in my yard as it has for a while. Im pretty close to you. I would bet the...

Low voltage light and outlet combo or setup?

Can anyone walk me through a setup for dummies on something like this kit? (im dangerous enough to do minor household electric but thats about it..) Could i plug the transformer in to the outlet at my pad? If so, would i then be able to dig tiny trenches along patio or through rock expansion...

Low voltage light and outlet combo or setup?

Not a bad idea. Im hearing from the electrician that we dont have much capacity left from the pad. Im having a wired shed delivered and then he agreed that 3 outlets (one by shed, 2 by steps) with small lights would be ok. But that is about it

Low voltage light and outlet combo or setup?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a low voltage light/outlet combo? Most of what I find when searching is for hanging lights. Im looking for something installed in the ground, specifically in the expansion joint (4-6" of stone) between stamped concrete decking and a retaining wall...

    New Pool in Pennsylvania

Im currently building a pool in the same area. We interviewed all the usual suspects including A&S. We have Gunite and plumbing in and electric (in theory..) is going in tomorrow. Best of luck, its good to see there are a few of us doing the same thing in the same area to share the same...

New contract / New build - SE Pennsylvania, Gunite free form pool and spa

My wife and I just gave up on it... The frustration just isnt worth it. It was driving us (2 successful PMs) nuts. As I said above, the thing we are taking away from this is that the PB, at least in our case, has little control over the subs. He is in the same boat as us with being at their...

New contract / New build - SE Pennsylvania, Gunite free form pool and spa

This... Our dig was pushed back over and over. These guys are all only as good as their subs. We would be in line and someone would hit rock and push the queue a day or 2, then it would rain, then a sub had a prior commitment (wasnt I a prior commitment?)... and on and on. I wanted to be home...
