Local to me, the 5 gallon carboy is 22.99 with the 6.00 deposit included (so, 16.99 for 5 gallons). Thats the best price Ive found for it, and its only slightly better than your price. Carrying 4-1 gallon bottles around is probably easier.......and its DEFINITELY easier to pour.

can we define "have WS"? My tubes are milky white, but it doesnt seem to be affecting flow to/from the LQ. The LQ itself doesnt have any WS in it (that I can see). Not sure if thats a "dont have WS" or not. -Chris

FWIW, Ive had my LQ running for a little over a month and dont see any WS. Every time Ive checked everything (except the tubing, see below) looks like the day it was installed. CYA is well below 60 (try 20, MAYBE 30). pH actually rose a little since Ive installed the LQ......its around 7.5...

Re: Liquidator removal help I edited my post, mcmaster has one (McMaster has EVERYTHING! I should have known :) ). Might be worth a shot, its around the same price as the small valves from HD, but the NPT to barb adapters are extra. Still should be under 15 bux though.
