    I also don't think the pool size (in gallons) is accurate. It's super hard to figure out as it's amoeba-shaped and has two shallow ends

    I'm in the Sacramento area. Water rates are 1.67/100 gallons. 10% liquid chlorine near me is about $6/gallon with tax. Edit: added pic

    OK, thank you for the suggestion! I have a major algae problem at the moment & am about to perform the SLAM method. Starting with the correct gallons sounds important ;)

    This is a long overdue hello!

    I should've joined many moons ago as this pool is killing me! I'm excited to finally be here as I'm taking care of my folks' older pool - which has been neglected to say the least. Incoming post asking for help with algae issue........... in 3, 2, 1...... :)
