    Raised bond beam veneer options

Are you talking about the raised exterior wall? If so, you can leave it raw but might not look so good over time. I did a cement stucco over mine. Just a thin skim coat of colored cement. Cheap and looks good.

Modified French Grey. Took out a bag of grey rock and added an extra black bag. Also put more black pigment and added glass.

    Snake

This is a fun thread. I have wonderful ideas that involve gas and snake shot. However, the additional damages caused and someone taking me serious, I will have to keep them to myself.

    Aqua Blue vs. Tropics Blue....

Any of those colors would look great. The aqua blue is popular where i live. In the end I went with a modified French Grey. I was trying to stay with my grey and black color pallet and wanted something that looked like granite.

    Who is still swimming?!?

Pool 55, solar tuned off. I have not tried with this pool, but with my last pool, I found that the heat lost over night could not be replaced by the solar panels going into the winter months. Loosing battle. Depending on your over night temps and number of panels and sun exposure it maybe...

    Pool dig started Manteca, CA

I'm not aware that Pentair offers a cutting service. I was involved with only two sheer decent installs. One on my current home and one on my prior. I only ordered the width I needed and the extra long spout. Then cut the radius needed. It does not look sloppy. Looks factory cut. And the...

    Pool dig started Manteca, CA

Perhaps if it a rain effect, you cannot cut it. I have no experience with those but would imagine the hole cut at an angle would change the effect from hole to hole and thus be an issue. However, If you want the solid curtain of water and get the correct sheer decent you can. As a matter of...

What Are These Things I my Pool?

Your pic #2 is drains unless you have solar, then they could be solar returns. If they are the only holes in the bottom then they are the drains like PoolGate said. They need covers for safety!

    Pool dig started Manteca, CA

1)Have not followed the whole thread but if your sheer decent water goes through the filter, I dont thing a rock trap is necessary. I believe those are used if you have a separate pump for water features that do not go through the filter. 2) When you order the sheer decent, you get one...

New build -Concrete recently poured - Is this rebar normal?

Bring up the issue with your builder. From the one piece I can see, I'm afraid the rebar will leach rust and create a stain on your plaster. I'm not an expert in this area but would think they will have to chip the area out, tie in new rebar and cement over. The rebar should be in the middle...

I finally get to post a thread here!! Renovating pool and yard

You will never walk on it shoeless but I was thinking more for the dogs. :D Ya, our turf area was just dirt from a deserted lawn long long ago. The turf is prettier than bark or gravel and the dogs can run, play and sun themselves. Not to mention it really cut down on the dust making it's...

I finally get to post a thread here!! Renovating pool and yard

I have fake grass and as we do not get as hot as AZ, it does get pretty hot here. I purchased a turf that claimed to be cooler than other types. In my experience, they are correct. I can comfortably walk on ours even when it is 105 degrees out. Some other turf someone else had was too hot at...

How about separating the individual components to see where the smell comes from? Maybe the container it's stored in.

    Hot Tub Radios

Don't know about mounting a stereo. I would think a marine radio would be safe, but they make a blue tooth stereo that mounts inside the shell.

They will clean, scrap off loose particles, and spray over. The rough surface gives the plaster something to grab onto.

Solar plumbing question for ground mount solar system?

Good tip Dirk on the tubes touching the metal. The tubes don't touch any sharp edges so I'm not too worried. Don't make me wrap every brace with a pool noodle!

Solar plumbing question for ground mount solar system?

Here is the inlet to the panels. You can see one bib mounted lower than the panels on the intake for draining. I have not put a bubble level on the beam, but suspect it maybe slightly tilted to assist draining.

Solar plumbing question for ground mount solar system?

Here the plumbing is exiting the filter to the left side of the pic. Through a check valve and into the diverter. Up goes to the panels, straight through it bypasses the panel. On the return from the panels (Higher pipe) it goes through another check valve and through another type of flow valve...

Solar plumbing question for ground mount solar system?

I have a vacuum breaker top left side of panels. One bib for draining bottom left. Going to try to post pics now. I do not have a pic of the vacuum breaker.
