James, If I push and release the more within 2 seconds nothing happens and display still shows 20% which is what I have it set for. If I press and hold for a few seconds the lights do the same as on the first push and hold stopping on the 20 %.

James, I have attempted this many times with no results. Maybe it is not part of the program in my unit, part # 520555 S/N 1225297180561y mfg date 10/24/18.

James, Originally had the output set to 50% which actually lights the 60% light on the display and after running the original test the light was at 60% both instances. So for my last test I set the out put to 20% and oddly enough both test show 20%. What am I doing wrong?

OK, thanks for taking the time to reply. I have tried to follow your instructions on the temperature test however when I hold the more until the lights scroll and then release it, it is much longer than 2 seconds before the percentage lights light up. Am I missing something?

Jim, I added the salt yesterday around 3:00 pm, I have the system set to run from 8:00 am to 8:pm, the system started this morning around 3:30 am due to low outside temp. I have stopped and restarted the cell and see the same exact number from before I added the salt.

The water temperature is currently 65 but has been 70 for the past couple of days. I did your test and both readings where 60%, does that indicate the unit thinks the water temp is correct?

How long after adding salt should the SWG recognize the increase?

I have Screenlogic which is indicating "very low salt". I have the output set for 50% and the lights on the unit itself indicate it is at 50%.

James, The cell is one year old and there is no cold water light on.

My SWG is not producing chlorine, SWG indicated 2200 ppm yesterday and I added 40 lbs of salt yesterday afternoon. This morning SWG still indicates 2200 ppm and is not producing chlorine. I have tested the water with the test kit and it indicates 3400 ppm which should be more than adequate for...

Maddie, Thanks for taking the time to reply. The SWG still works on some days, however, I plan on turning it off if there will be no loss of chlorine with the solar cover is on. No one will be checking on the pool as there is no one in the neighborhood that I would trust to monitor it.

We will be leaving for a month or two next week and have placed a solar cover on our pool and reduced pump run time from 12 hours to 8 hours a day. I'm assuming with the cover that the chlorine level will stay the same without the SWG running. Am I correct, and any suggestions on other things to...

Getting ready to do a cleaning on my STA-RITE S7D75 DE filter and thought a video of the process would be helpfull but I am unable to find anything. Anyone aware if one exist? If not, any tips from those who have done this before?

New to pools and new pool. My SWG settings have ranged from 70% for 12 hrs to my current setting of 10% for 12 hrs. FC levels of recent have been 7.5 at 30 % then reduced to 20% with a 6.5 and yesterday reduced to 10%. The higher SWG percentages were when the CYA was at a low level.

Is there a device that will monitor the chlorine level and automatically adjust the SWG accordingly? I find myself chasing the chlorine level up and down.

Thinking about having a safety cover installed for the off season and times that we may be away for an extended period of time. Thinking it will make it easier to keep the pool clean for easy opening in the spring. Looking for a rough idea on the cost and which brands are the best.

I guess I will have to start getting up in the middle of the night to catch him in the pool. I was hoping there might be a trap I could use but I don't seem to find one.
