Finally a fast, easy, cheap, permanent solution for intex inflatable ring leaks!

Can I ask: I ordered the number to flag drip thing and they sent me number four. So it’s 4 gallons per hour is that gonna be too much air to put in there it? Can that cause it to pop? Should I add something in the airline to regulate it a little bit better or bleed air out just a bit? I’d like...

    Trouble with pumps burning out

Some do. I ship containers to HI as well as truckloads to mostly the PNW. Used to work on the barges years back on the Miss River. Lol!

    Trouble with pumps burning out

If you take this part off underneath it is a little mesh part kind of is the dual filter type of thing and it had Cottonwood all over it. Those fuzzy seeds I mean.

    Trouble with pumps burning out

It was a plastic mesh cap and a hose attachment insert. If you screw off the outside there is a kind of screen inside. That was clogged. The inside of this one and another hose adapter

    Trouble with pumps burning out

All of those intake parts come in two pieces. Guess what I didn’t check? I’m really sorry for wasting your time. I am still looking at the sand filter but I need to do more research. Now that I’ve broken my toes I barely got up the ladder. Might need to find another option o there! Sorry again!

    Trouble with pumps burning out

So are you thinking my pump isn’t working right? I’ve gone through two so I hesitate to buy another but I’m not getting any usage out of my pool when it’s not clean so I’ll do what i need to. Few weeks left to the season at best

    Trouble with pumps burning out

My cartridges are kept clean so that’s not it. Not much suction in either one of the hoses. Just a little.

    Trouble with pumps burning out

I do have one. I JUST broke it when cleaning because I have the patience of a two year old at times. Broken toes are making me crabby. My grandkids were thrilled at how well the “circling” worked! So I need to bring it in and fix it but I’m getting no suction so it wasn’t skimming well anyway...

    Trouble with pumps burning out

Oh thanks! Current pic. Have to try to climb in and get leaves out is all. I have found that walking in a circle around the inside of the pool is not only good exercise but it moves everything to the middle of the pool so you can easily scoop it up!

    Intex Pool In Trouble

You guys are so nice and helpful! Thank you! I did hire someone who was using my shop vac. He pulled it to the other side of the pool and the extension cord came unplugged from the vacuum and dropped in the water. It was still plugged into the outlet in my shed. I kid you not...this young man...

    Trouble with pumps burning out

That’s helpful. Thank you. My old one with just one hole in and out of the piol worked great! It wasn’t even that bad the last couple of years. It’s this year. But then I’ve had some health issues this year and haven’t been out here as much. Could just be me!

    Trouble with pumps burning out

It was but there wss a lot of air in the lines. That whole dual set up is really heavy. I didn’t know it wasn’t a pump. That explains a lot. So when I raise the hoses up to keep bubbles out I’m taking away suction. That solves a mystery! Thank you!

Do I need a stronger pump too? Great idea. I’ve never tried a sand pump. Thanks!

    Intex Pool In Trouble

And the ice doesn’t wreck the pool? Is it hard to maintain? Last pool guy I hired dropped the extension cord to the shop vac in the water. I stopped him right before he was going to step into the water to fish it out. It was still plugged in!

    Intex Pool In Trouble

So no one saw my before and after? Man! Ok I had asked for the best way to clean my pool and posted a pic. It had sat all winter with like a foot of water and spring too. The moderator asked if it was a joke. So I posted a pic of my pool after I cleaned and filled it. Just so you guys know that...

    Help please

Sorry about that! I lost everything I was working on at the time due to my computer getting wrecked in an accident. Thought I was making a comeback until a bad fall late last autumn. But I’m back. Or trying to be! Thanks,N

    Trouble with pumps burning out

I’ve owned intex pools for about 10 years now. All above ground. Love them! I’ve had the 18’ x 48” for about 4 years. No issues at all except I’m getting older and they take some work in the spring and fall. Until this last one. My last one was hit by a tree limb and had holes in it so I bought...
