    Woke up to no chlorine

After the storms this week and allowing the pool to overflow from the skimmer overflow, I tested this morning and have almost no chlorine. No yellow in the k 1766 One drop of r 0817 returns to water clear. Freaking out because I’m leaving for 4 days this evening. Water looks amazing. Turning...

    Heater install question

it is quite possible that your heater will require more volume and pressure than your house does. you probably need to tie into the gas line before the current regulator. then add an appropriate size regulator. look in the manual for the heater. it will give specs for the pipe size for the...

    Looking for recommendations - Houston

not sure about that. several new installs each year. i am 200 feet from lake conroe. all clay. i think it will be difficult to get a custom pool guy to do such a small pool. they charge by the perimeter foot.

my crazy dog drinks from it on the regular. yes he has a bowl of water in the house. before the pool went in he would typically only drink from the toilet bowl. he is not a fancy boy. lol

    New pool SWG% question

what jim said. also, the amount of pump run time makes the difference too. my pump runs 8 hours daily normally. more if hot tub is used. the chlorine generator makes chlorine when the pump is on. i am set around 30%. similar size pool to yours. if my pump ran longer i would turn my output down.

Official 2019 BBQ, Smoking, Grilling, Baking and Beer thread

Tried something different for fajitas yesterday. I asked for suggestions on a skit steak alternative for fajitas, and got several great ideas. Settled on a beef tenderloin. It was on sale and the cheapest cut of beef other than a round roast. Any way, marinated in for a couple hours and they...

Starting build - heater or no heater?

i live in texas (hot) i am cheap! i have a heater, we heat the hot tub in about 20 minutes. so nice to relax in, i have not had the pool through a winter yet. not sure if i will ever heat the pool. but the heater has proved very nice to have for the hot tub. i know that my neighbors do...

Upgrading gas meter for pool/spa heater?

you have the same meter as me. i have a 250k heater. your house should not be using much gas during the summer to affect the heater now. the gas tech that serviced my upgrade request was very knowledgeable and i would assume that all of them are. however it is possible that the person that...

Advise on Pumps, SWG, and yard placement

My opinion is that it depends on how many features you have to operate. I do not have a water feature, I have a single pump, hot tub in the pool, and a heater. I have 2 valves to operate and turn the heater on and off when done. One push of the button on the pump also. I opted for no automation...
