just reeived my hair-nets for skimmers

I wish I had known about these before I ordered the hose type skimmer socks a few years ago. I ordered the hairnets a few weeks ago and LOVE them!! Much easier than skimmer socks.

    Gunk around steps?

CYA is 30. I just came back in about an hour ago from brushing again...it seems to look a little better than it did this afternoon.

    Gunk around steps?

Yes, I've used that too when I'm in the water. Unfortunately I'm short and can't reach that far down, plus I'm not thrilled about getting in the water with FC at 16. ?

    Gunk around steps?

AimeeH, Thank you for taking the time to respond. I circled the area in the picture below and also put arrows where it extends down from the corner. I've used those same types of brushes when I'm actually in the pool, but my arms aren't long enough to reach down that far from the outside...

    Gunk around steps?

SLAMing. FC is 16 (should have been 12 but I was heavy handed with the bleach). I have maintained FC throughout the day even though I passed OCLT early this morning (I was not sure if this gunk is enough to affect FC so I've just left it another day). I've tried 2 different pool brushes...

aqua rite digital read out is blank

I tried this today and it did not work for me. I did notice my GFCI test/reset button was not working. I plan to get this replaced, but in the meantime could this be a cause for the display messing up? Sent from my XT1609 using Tapatalk

aqua rite digital read out is blank

This is a timely post for me as I am having a similar issue with the display, and also giving wrong information (showing I have a different cell, skipping the salt reading and temperature, etc.) My unit is 3 years old...just curious how old yours is lefevr1? Any one have any idea how often...

    Clorox salt?

I just bought a bunch the other day. I like the looks of it because it is very fine, but I haven't used it yet. It was also cheaper than the Morton's they also had in stock (same size bag). However, I was not a fan of their bags...I have salt in my car from where the bags were not well made...

    Sacrificial Anode help

Thank you both! I'm not sure what the original diameter was. I was able to take closer pictures of the bottom part and I think I can get into it, but I'd rather have some additional info before I try. Thanks again! Sent from my XT1609 using Tapatalk

    Sacrificial Anode help

I have a sacrificial anode that was installed when the pool was built in 2014. I've read varying opinions...some people think they are beneficial while others say not. I don't know anything about the type I have, how long they generally last, what kind of maintenance (if any) is needed, etc...

    Replacing Pump/Motor

I was able to repair my pump using guides from http://www.inyopools.com/HowToPage/ and YouTube videos. Try to look up the repair info and see if it is something you feel comfortable doing yourself. Sent from my XT1609 using Tapatalk

    How can I drain this?

I bought my submersible pump from Harbor Freight. I've never had any issues in 3 years, but if I do they are cheap enough to recycle and buy another. Sent from my XT1609 using Tapatalk

Help finding source of air in pump basket!

I am having issues with air in the pump basket. It doesn't seem bad enough to turn off the pump completely because there is still plenty of water in the basket but there are very visible large bubbles. The pump is only pulling from the main drain at this time because I'm still refilling water...

    Blowing Out Lines Question

Thanks, I had a feeling I was going to have to replace that in the spring because my handle is extremely hard to turn. When I took it apart to look at it I could tell it was looking worn. Any idea on how often this part has to be replaced? Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk

    Blowing Out Lines Question

Everything I've read says to turn your filter to recirculate before blowing out your lines. I can't get air to build up in the lines with the filter position on recirculate, but when it is on filter, it works beautifully. What am I doing wrong? Is there a chance I am doing damage with it...

    Pressure Gauge questions

Thanks for the input! AimeeH and JVTrain I didn't realize there was a difference or that I should look for one that specifically said "glycerine filled"...I just searched for something along the lines of "pool sand filter gauge". Seems like they are all about a 1/4" fitting. Sent from my...

    Pressure Gauge questions

My 3 yr old pressure gauge is slow to rise when the pump is first turned on and slow to fall when it is turned off (but it does eventually go back to zero when off.) After a minute or so it gets to where I would expect the pressure to be, is consistent, and I have movement through the returns...
