A few days ago I spread some cedar mulch around the pool to make it look prettier and keep the weeds down. Today I went out to put the Bug back into the pool while I was home, I noticed the mulch next to the drain plug was a darker color that the rest. I swept away the mulch and made sure the...

Free shipping from tftestkits.net !?!? ... now through July 4th

Re: Free shipping from tftestkits.net !?!? It is a good idea, I should have ordered the XL and the stirrer last night when I ordered mine, got to the shipping page and freaked out, the test kit must be heavy or oversized for that rate. I would have rather spent that money on more stuff :)

They say patience is a virtue... I am not very virtuous I guess. I went out this afternoon to brush the pool bottom to make sure I got everything previously. Low and behold I could see the bottom...Not clearly but well enough to see what was down there, I unleashed my AuqaBug and backwashed...

    New Pool Build Questions

Check out my Polygroup vs Intex pool thread to see how I did mine, I opted not to use the pavers, and used a crushed stone base, no sand and I am very happy with the results, we had a very wet winter and spring and the pool did not shift a bit. Good luck and keep us posted.

I am waiting it out and keeping the faith, after all it took it several months to get this bad. The chlorine use it what is getting me down, now that the Texas sun is beating down on it, makes it hard to keep the FC that high. I test it at night when the sun goes down, bring it back to SLAM...

I have some Flocculant, I am tempted to throw in there, but I am going to wait for the Overnight & CC tests before giving in to that. It is still consuming a large amount of 8.25% bleach to keep that level so something is still alive in there, plus we are getting a LOT of sun these days, temps...

Still slamming, got all of the debris out of the pool, water is nice and blue, however still cant see the bottom of the pool. Will keep fighting. And cleaning the filter when the pressure rises. Man I will never let it get like this again, what a pain.

My Old Intex vs New Polygroup Pro Pool

That and it comes with a Skimmer, if you look on the net people complain about the build quality of the PolyGroup "also called Summer Escapes" but I actually think the frame on this one is more sound, and so does my neighbor, he is a welder and says the steel on the PolyGroup is quite a bit...

So I put the Aqua Bug in the water and within 3-5 minutes my pressure was up and the filter started shooting green water back into the pool. Rather than load the filter I put it on recirc and let the Bug run to catch the leaves and break up any Algae on the bottom of the pool that I could not...

Thanks for the info, I will toss it in for a while and keep a close eye on the basket to make sure I am keeping it clean. Pump is running at all times, it is around 8 psi, how often should I backwash? When the pressure increases or every couple of days, the water color is blue with a slight...

No I did not :( Missed that step, I assume my ph is so high as I had the return shooting up to aerate. So question, let the FC drop below 10, then test the PH and if high add some Mur Acid? Correct. Thanks

Greetings, I let my pool sit over the winter here in South Texas. It was a smelly swamp when I started to clean it last week. Had a bearing going bad in my 2 yo 3/4hp pump, it was noisy but it ran. I started slamming the pool and got it from a smelling green to a milky blue in a couple of...
