Waste line out from the Pool House bathroom

Looking for options folks... Just had couple quotes done for this and was quoted about 6k of T&M to run the drain (tie into the septic), run the water from the house and install an ejector pit/pump for the toilet. Quite hefty, but seeing some other quotes with 10-15k range, its actually looking...

    Saving sod?

Yeah I think I'm pretty much out of luck on saving that sod, as it will definitely ne more then few days, even weeks before the sod is replanted. I may just move it over to few areas in front of the house where the grass is not as good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Poolside Bathroom cost?

I just had couple quotes done for this and was quoted about 6k of T&M to run the drain (tie into the septic), run the water from the house and install an ejector pit/pump for the toilet. Quite hefty, but seeing some other quotes with 10-15k range, its actually looking much better. Regardless, I...

    Saving sod?

Thank you folks for all the responses. Very helpful. I definitely wouldn't be able it to re-lay the sod quickly, may take months, so more then likely the sod is toast, but I like the idea of saving the top solid and then reusing it. Will look into that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Saving sod?

Folks is it possible to save and replant sod? We've just bought a new house and about to embark on the new pool building adventure and I want to see if am able to remove the sod from the area pool is going to, roll it up and then replant in the damaged areas. The back lawn has such a beautiful...

Alternatives for stainless steel storage drawers, doors, etc.

So I ended up picking up a stainless steel grill off Craig's list cheap and will be using the lower portion as door storage. Should come out just as good, but for the fraction of the price. We're moving into a new house in the spring, so will be buildings then, will post pics. Sent from my...

    Outdoor kitchen wood frame?

Hi folks, how ok is it to do the wood frame for the outdoor kitchen and how big of an issue it is with wood expansion/contraction due to temp changes? Will the durarock lock it down pretty good and prevent it from moving? Thanks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    New gazebo install

So.. I've been meaning to post more pics as I finished this project last summer, just hadn't had time, a lot of other things going on as usual. But, better late then never, so here we go. Acid stained the patio and finished landscaping. Gazebo is up. Took half of afternoon and 3...

    Jandy i-aqualink

I think it boils down to the fact that the original iaqualink is a badly deigned, obsolete trash. After having all these issues 2 years ago and complaining to the regional rep, I finally got Jandy to replace it with then newly released iaqualink2 which has worked flawlessly to date. Zero issues...

    Loosing chlorine again..

Thinking about this... Few more questions... So assuming my CYA is at 0, based on the table, my SLAM level is 10ppm, correct? But... As I will be doing this tomorrow afternoon (and looks like it will be nice sunny weather), wouldn't the results get skewed because of the sunlight lose? Sent...

    Loosing chlorine again..

Thank you guys. Texas, thank you for the instructions, one question I have is, at this point, since I no longer really know what my CYA level is, how do I know to what I need to bring the chlorine level for the SLAM? Do I get up to the level based on 0 CYA, or do I still SLAM like I did before...

    Loosing chlorine again..

So i still lost about 1.5ppm overnight, so i figured I'll go ahead and SLAM anyway, so before I do, I go and check CYA and there is none!! I could see the dot with tube filled all the way to the top! And it was up to around 80ppm just few weeks ago when I converted to salt.. It makes sense for...

    Loosing chlorine again..

Well, maybe I won't need to SLAM after all... last night added 32 oz of m. acid to get the pH down and figured I will SLAM in the morning. tested this morning and had about .5ppm lose over night (SWG off). so off to work, in the meant time I figure I'll get SWG back on, won't hurt... get home...

    Loosing chlorine again..

Nice! no problem to swim with those levels? I was a bit paranoid to let the kids swim during SLAM... Plus the fact I didn't what the pH was. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Loosing chlorine again..

Thanks guys... Yes, heavy swimmer load and 90+ degree water... I thought I was good though, I actually udjusted my SWG down to 10% (since the pool is always covered when not in use so I don't get much of sunlight chlorine lose, was riding that for a while keeping it at ~5ppm.. And all it took is...

    Loosing chlorine again..

So I've been doing great for good 2 months or so since my last bout with algae and SLAMing. Keeping the FC levels right around 5-6ppm consistently. All before this last weekend. Quite a bit of pool use with quite a few adult and kids. I test on Sunday and get 1ppm. So I shock with 12% bleach and...

Helping out a friend - stains in the pool.

Thanks. That's what I keep telling him too. We did the tests yesterday, looks like the large grayish staying all over the bottom is all organic. Though there are some inorganic smaller rust color stains as well especially in his spa. How do you folks recommend we go about treating this...

Helping out a friend - stains in the pool.

Yes definitely agree. I'm trying to get him to use TFPC method, but he still listens to other folks, so someone said get algaecide, so he did... I finally got him to get a k-2006 kit, but he still uses the strips... SMH. in any case, I will come by there after work and we'll do the tests as...

Helping out a friend - stains in the pool.

A friend of mine bought a house with an old pool, not a horrible shape, plaster needs to be redone soon and needed a new filter, chlorinator, but otherwise decent. We finally got pretty much everything under control, his chemistry is good, but then he decided to get algaecide and just about next...

Alternatives for stainless steel storage drawers, doors, etc.

I've been specking out my kitchen design and one thing I can't get over is how ridiculously expensive all the stainless steel components are... I can understand paying a premium for a quality grill/smoker/outdoor fridge (thank god I already have them), but paying hundreds and even thousands of...

The twelve most common myths in Pool-Water Chemistry

Ah I see. For 2, I think what he means by it is the chlorine level needed to be achieved to start effectively working, like in the SLAM process. 5-25 CYA jumped at me as well, but as far as indoor pools, why do you need at in the indoor pool? I though it was exclusively sunlight related as...
