If you didn’t backup the drivers or config with usb you won’t have the 4.8 file. You can’t get it from anywhere either so you are out of luck unless you can get it from Hayward.

Do you have an OmniLogic or Omni PL? Either one you should be able to pick your specific model. It will say 340.

Don’t use GCFI. NEC doesn’t require it either.

The OmniLogic box acts as a heat sink itself. Make sure the sides are not blocked.

I am not familiar with freeze protect because we install pools up north. Even my Hayward rep has told me to disable freeze protection and flow monitoring because it can mess up schedules.

That’s horrible. I have found unions glued together as well as flow switches getting glue on the contacts making them stuck closed!

You might have to bite the bullet and get a new comm board from Hayward.

Has your breaker been tripping to the pump? Is the green Phoenix contact seated completely on the Omni for the pump comm wire? After a factory reset does the firmware rollback to an earlier version and you have to upgrade again?

Seems like a bunch of different brands with not much compatibility. Either go all Hayward or all Pentair. The heaters don’t matter they will communicate with anything. The Omni PL has the ability to prioritize heaters although I have never had to mess with these functions.

Show me the comm wiring to the pump and Omni please.

Getting ready for a commercial installation and I want to find some nice looking heavy duty labels to indicate flow direction among other things at the equipment pad. What have you guys used?

I found this when trying to troubleshoot a Hayward VSP and switched the breaker to the one mentioned.

This is an outdated version of the manual for that heater. This is the kit that should have come inside of the heater taped to the side in a plastic bag. Find where it plugs in on the board and you should be good. I have never connected to “field wiring “ it always says remote.

Show a picture of the green pcb it should have “remote” somewhere on it. Haywards manuals are not the greatest.

The remote connection wire comes in a plastic bag with wire nuts and fuses. It connects with a white connector on the green pcb somewhere not the blue pcb I believe. Been a while since I installed this connection to an Omni

Before changing dip switches you have to keep power off to the pump for around 10 minutes so it can “forget” the current settings.

You can put them on any temp sensor block besides air. Just make sure to assign them correctly.
