OH WHAT FUN!! We get to help spend your money help you build a pool!!
I like your pool layout. The one thing I would add is a bench on the fireplace side to mirror the one on the house side. Do NOT go all the way across though. Leaving the middle area open gives you are good swim lane. The...
But, but, but I do so LOVE Blue smurf surf! Here is a link to different pools just to show off their plaster colors:

What they said LOL I was going to say the same thing. White gets and stays dirty looking so it would have ended up looking gray any way. It matches the gray in the tile so it is all good.
You have received some good thoughts already. I will pop in to tell you to keep calm when you talk today. Do not let emotions color your words or tone (SO hard to do and I have NO "poker" face so good luck with this). I would pop a chalk line and measure the bow. That is solid math that cannot...
Man that IS a very pretty tile! I can see why you are disappointed not being able find it again.
The one you posted is very pretty as well. I also like the Misty Blue.
Have you seen these?
My FAV! Cobalt Pool Waveglass, 6" x 12" - Glass Tile...
Hi and welcome to TFP! Yeah that bullnose needed to go. Good idea of making it a liner pool. Now to figure out how to add the liner. Are you doing all of the work on your own? Have you talked to any pool remodelers in your area?
oh adult word no................you will thank us down the road.................it will end up on feet, in hands to be thrown into the pool, full of weeds, etc.
Me? I would take up the brick by the old deck and put down so kind of "accent border" and take the pool deck right up to it.
I would...
Hi and welcome to TFP. That is not the worst tile job I have seen. They did a pretty good job with their cuts and such. For the grout line under the overspill the only thing they could have done is cut tiny slivers of tile to put there instead. I don't think there are many that have that kind...
Go get as many different blue tiles you can find that are in stock in your area. Put them on top of your wall. See which one looks best in real life. I am thinking at least 4 tiles of each color will work best. This is really the only way to pick the best one for you.
The smaller the width of the "hardscape" the more chance of getting the "softscape" aka grass and dirt getting into the pool.
You can put down artificial turf but I will tell you that stuff gets HOT so must wear something on your feet to walk on it.
Who me??? OH YEAH! Thanks for letting us help you make your pool look wonderful!
That tile is SO neat! I love it!! Make they tell you how they are going to do the corners as well as if the walls are not just the right length to be able to have all full sized tiles.
Plaster color-While I LOVE...
Bet that gets to be a pain after a while! So they just go THROUGH it instead of over it?
Look at that vibrant color!!! I can see why they are called "splendid"! Does not even look real!
 Well sure have to be rough and touch to survive there for sure!!
Thanks for sharing your part of...
Welcome and NICE JOB! You are close to being able to post in this thread:
Now lets talk about your friends hanging out in the yard! Are they tame at all? Do you feed them? Do they cause any problems?
Here is a thread we put together to show off different liner colors. I hope this helps a bit.

You property is SO pretty! I am sorry to hear you need these repairs.
I suggest you look at facebook market place as well as nextdoor and such in your area. Another good place to pop into is the local pool shops to see who they know about.
Good luck! Oh and I changed your title to dial it to...
Listen to your body and don't do too much. Epson salts in a HOT bath will also do you a world of good! An adult drink sitting on the edge of the tub would not hurt anything LOL
Dude has you covered with all of your questions.
A couple of things I will speak on:
-path from the pool to the deck. I would have a solid run of stepping stones from the ladder area to the deck. Don't get "cute" with space between the steppers. This will only lead to more maintenance for you...
