    White flakes

I lowered TA to 70 and still fighting white flakes. I've noticed that I'm not getting flakes when PH is around 7.4-7.6 but my CSI is then between -0.42 and -0.33 Also PH will go up in 2 days from 7.4-7.8. or maybe from 7.6 -8.0 I have a really hard time reading a PH difference between 7.8 and...

    White flakes

Yes, it is odd. They are definitely flakes, did an acid test. I used to have TA around 60-70 but did bring it up to 80 a few days before I switched to SWG. Will monitor them today and tomorrow and if I will still see them, I'll start lowering TA first. @Newdude my fill water is also CH low...

Pool filler pulsating water noise when the pump is running.

@mas985 water level is a bit more than half in relation to the skimmer so I adjusted autofill float for one stop down

    White flakes

Me again:) Didn’t want to hijack someones thread.. so I apologize for one more about white flakes. 2 days into SWG and today I’ve noticed white flakes. I’ve started using pool math few weeks ago and my CSI is always between -0.15 and -0.3 Currently -0.3 I was planning to bring CH to recommended...

Pool filler pulsating water noise when the pump is running.

    - the water level is about the halfway, not higher..but will check later today - no waterfall or spa engaged - was already installed when we moved in (3y ago, might be installed around 2017) Is there a 'better' valve stopper on the market that I can use?

Pool filler pulsating water noise when the pump is running.

Recently I've noticed that my pool filler will pulsate when the pool pump is running. If I turn off the pump pulsating noise will stop. I've shared the video, you dont need to sign or anything to see it. https://share.icloud.com/photos/001PoXDOKCPpaSuCANXvmlZ9g

    Spa drain

Thank you!, You guys are rock stars :)

    Spa drain

    One, second one is plugged

    Spa drain

There are only 2 pipes for suction that go to a valve. One is for the drain and one is for the skimmer. For example, if I close skimmer and fully open drain, water level in the spa will drop immediately. As said in my previous post, I have only 2 valves, 1 for the suction side and 1 for the return.

    Spa drain

If i do that, then water will be only suck from the skimmer and not a pool drain. Is this ok for circulation?

    Spa drain

A/B makes sense. Guess I will just unplug it tomorrow. C I can’t decrease speed to much because I need it for solar heating ( need 60-70gpm flow)

    Spa drain

Yes I’m sure that drains are connected. It is a 40y old pool:) Here are the pics….disregard shelves on the stairs, those are to keep out that ‘goofball’ in the background 🤣

    Spa drain

He said with both drains open he had to set return valve 50/50 (spa/pool) for not to drain spa OR suction 80/20 (skimmer/drain). You can’t control just a spa drain:/ My main concern is if the plugged drain/pipe can be damaged or suction pressure shouldn’t be that high because all drains are...

So I can leave it as is? There is only ~1ft between center

    Spa drain

Looks like previous owner plug one spa drain. When I called him (a good family friend) and ask for a reason, he assured me there was no leak just suction was too strong having 2 drains with such a small spa (3 people). There is only one valve controlling all main drains and skimmer suction and...

    RJ-45/60 install location

After that if it’s still showing lower than Taylor test should I add more salt or leave it?

    RJ-45/60 install location

will ask here RJ60 reads salt level 2950ppm after 8h run, Tayler kit 3600. Should I add more salt or leave it as is?

will just rotate it then and be done with it:)

    RJ-45/60 install location

I never go under 1800-1900 rpm, running pump 9Pm-5pm...Do you think I should I still rotate the cell? I do have room.
  27. Sn00py

    RJ-45/60 install location

The system is installed, and operational with no leaks:) I had to reuse manual isolation valves and keep 90 elbows to solar because I couldn't get 2.5in couplings anywhere. Maybe I will redo that part later. Also had to add 2x90 on return after the cell because there was not enough space for the...
