Regardless of what the pool store results show, you have two self tests of FC that show it’s in excess of 5ppm. I’d venture to guess your FC is between 15-20. Your pH readings are invalid with FC > 10.

I took it as you intended it. We picked up a small Intex pool when the grandkids were short and used it for two seasons. Their SWCG rated for 15k is what I’m using now.

I have no problem using Intex, but they just didn’t have what I was looking for. I’m a fan of their SWCG.

Did what I should have done at the onset . . . Researched the TFP Wiki. Turns out the filter pump combo that came with the pool was slightly undersized at 14” and .75hp. Using a smaller filter wasn’t going to solve anything. I ordered a Jacuzzi 16” sand filter with a 1hp dual speed pump...

That just requires patience, IMO. If the suction itself is not creating the disturbance something else is. Then again, vacuuming with inadequate suction will also bite you in the butt. Both have gotten me. There can be too low of a suction depending upon what’s being vacuumed.

About the only thing you would have to worry about in SFL is mold during the commencement of the non-sweat season. I clean my vents and the bottom duct where the vents are due to cat hair, cat toys, and whatever they decide to play with. My returns are the biggest area of cat evidence. One...

What is the expiration dates of your powder and reagent? All your other tests have reasonable values so it appears you are testing correctly.

The two filters I have the contraption is not secured. You place it in the center of the filter, cover the tube to prevent sand from entering it, then fill with the requisite volume/weight of approved sand.
