How to stop Hayward inlet from leaking. Will I have to draing water to redo?

I tightened mine as tight as I could... by hand. Then just snugged it with a wrench. (Less than 1/8 turn)

How to stop Hayward inlet from leaking. Will I have to draing water to redo?

I did the conversion to the Hayward fittings this spring as well, and have not had the slightest sign of a leak. When I received the fittings, each came with 2 rubber gaskets, and a fiber one. working from inside the pool to outside, the order in which I installed them was as follows... Fitting...

    Drones!

The pool has changed since then... I really need to get out there with the drone to get a shot of what it's like now, but it has been too dang hot! New pool, new deck.... etc. I'll try to do it before I end up closing it for the season.

    Drones!

I posted a video here last year of me flying one of mine backwards... Under the maple tree - over the pool - between the trees on either side of the entrance to the pasture... etc. I'll see if I can find it.

1st time pool, new home, long time closed IG pool, Surprising find!

As far as a SLAM is concerned, I would start by putting in enough CYA to bring you up to 30. Up your chlorine accordingly, and see if it holds where it should.

Now that you know that, is it working for you now?

Intex robot C hoses leak, wont move? Other Return based choices besides Intex?

You do realize that the Intex cleaner is a pressure side cleaner? It attaches to where the pump sends water into the pool.

    Howdy

I see that you list well water in your signature. Did your pool start looking brown, (swampy) after you put chlorine into it? If the answer is yes, you probably have iron in your fill water.

Acids can be stored for years without any problem.

My $25 auto chlorinator DIY project

I have to blame YOU for this, but I went to an actual Stenner system, and buried a 55gal drum next to my equipment pad for the bleach. :) This setup did get me through a year, and a half though. It was still working when I installed my Stenner. So, instead of blame, I guess I am THANKING you for...

My $25 auto chlorinator DIY project

Do yourself a favor, and set up the timer to match when your pump is running, and if possible, set it up to drip above a return to avoid the possibility of bleaching one area of the pool. I actually set mine up to drip into my skimmer. It did no damage to my equipment, as the bleach to water...

    Mini floater liquidator

Here is an old thread that you might be interested in. https://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/my-25-auto-chlorinator-diy-project.64302/ I set one of these up, and it ran for a year without any problem. Since then, I have gone to a more permanent solution "Stenner".

    Mini floater liquidator

Personally, I LOVE it when someone comes over to my pool, and asks me if I maintain it with chlorine, because they can't smell it. Nor does it leave them with that itchy "chlorine skin". When I answer that I do, the next question I get asked is "Where is the floater for your tabs?". The only...

    What's your current pool temp?

My high yesterday was 90.1. My overnight low hit 85.6, so I am expecting a high today of 92 in the pool... We will see if this prediction comes true.

Why the delay when testing effects of adding CYA?

I run a Chlorine pool... not salt, and I found that given my location, I was better to run my CYA at 60 to help with chlorine loss due to sunlight, and heat. My Stenner doesn't have to work as long, and my bleach barrel doesn't need topping up as often.

    My NEW Pool Automation Controller

I don't know if you are aware of this, or if you are too scared to get your daughter REALLY P.O.'d at you, but.... You could ask Zack to remote into your set-up, to give you a hand, and make changes.

Well, the Deck is Just ABOUT finished!

Thank you! The spacing was determined by myself thinking about all the tree coverage directly above the deck, and the leaves, twigs and fodder that seems to be falling from them all the time. I didn't want all of that being blown INTO the pool, so I thought that a little larger spacing between...

Well, the Deck is Just ABOUT finished!

The Ladder can be found here... Ladder. I have it set so that it ends about 1/8" above the bottom of the pool to keep water moving underneath it, but when you step on it, it rests solidly.

Well, the Deck is Just ABOUT finished!

The hand rail will be the easy part! The hard part was figuring out how to do the stairs so they didn't look like an afterthought. And how to do them so they didn't interfere with the lawn mower!

Well, the Deck is Just ABOUT finished!

The Wife Never mentioned that she wanted a deck... out loud. But once it was under construction, her first comments were... "Where are the steps!" Well, they are HERE! I am pretty proud of myself... first deck, and first set of stairs built from scratch... all done by yours truly!

    Deck mounted ladder help

The only problem I see with that is the water flow is being restricted under the mat. I was wondering about doing that, and decided that the fewer places for algae to start, the better.
