    Help!!

Hello!! Welcome to TFP! I started here with TFP right after I took my first batch of water in to be tested and immediately realized they had no clue what to do. The guy said to add x amount of calcium, and so I returned with water sample #2 and he says "oops, I told you to add too...

"Pearluster" (ie embossed) finish on liner - worth it? or a headache to keep clean?

Is there a big price difference? That would be my first concern as to how much is that worth over the regular liners? The Montauk would be my pick- I like darker pools.

    Cleaning SWG

Are you sure your cell actually needs it? Some have a reverse polarity feature and it never built up anything needing to be cleaned. Don't clean unless you see build up on the plates.

    17 day vacation

Why not just do it once and go have fun? I've gone to Italy for 17 days and come back to a pool just like I left it. My pump and SWG run low and slow its normal schedule, but covered pool.

Sorry, they are older and just a generic type the pool store sold. If I find the name I'll get back to you.

You want a great Arugala salad? Arugula, thin sliced fresh fennel, naval orange segments cut in 3rds (lets that yummy juice out) then just dress with s/p, good olive oil and a little wine vinegar. Favolosa! Also yummy with crumbled goat cheese tossed in before dressing. Maddie :flower:

How often do you go on vacation and use pucks? If you are using Clorox XtraBlu pucks they may be the source of your copper.

    Alkalinity won’t rise above 90

Chlorine pucks are going to cause you grief in short order. First, Pucks contain CYA, which will build up fast and requires water exchange to get rid of. Secondly- if you buy the ones from Lowes or Costco (Any with the word "Blue" in the name) usually contain Copper. Copper stains- No Bueno...

    Leslie's - Liquid CYA

I'm inpatient some years and have used the liquid. I just brush it all around until it disappears. For your sized pool I'd be surprised if a gallon of liquid raised your CYA level over 20 points. So it would be very costly if you needed / used a lot more. Maddie :flower:

    Sundance cartridge filter replacement options?

We always just keep 2 generic sets, one set in and te other cleaned out and ready to switch out. We don't use the Sundance mineral packs so that saves some green. Maddie 🌻

What did you do to your pool today?

While Skippy and I snuck out of town overnight, our son zipped in from Atlanta and cut back some of the trees still sitting on our cover. He was able to open the cover about a foot & send me a pic of clear water! Nine months closed and yet still clear. That's a win!! Now if only The...
