What do you mean "going solar"? You cannot run an AC pump directly from solar panels. To do that, you would require batteries and an inverter. Batteries, inverter (you would need one that powers 220V appliances) and solar panels would run you at least 5K, if not more...I would assume...

I just picked up the polaris P945 and LOVE it. I think the biggest thing to remember is that robots keep clean pools clean - they are not intended to clean a dirty pool filled with algae, leaves, etc. I drop mine in daily for 90 mins. If I miss a day, i use 2.5 hr setting... 18000 IG...
