Winterizing conduit for my low voltage LED lights

Thanks you confirmed what I was thinking. I'll lower the water level to drain them and blow them out. Then cap and put some antifreeze in lines for good measure.

In-line vs. off-line chlorine feeder dilemma

My pool is larger than yours 36k. But I have 2" pipe all around pool equipment and 1.5 inch return and drain lines. The in line chlorinator has 1.5 inch plumbing so I went with offline to avoid a bottle neck like you described.

Adding mod-lights to an inground steel panel pool - help!

Pool is refilled and no leaks thank God. I may just silicone around the joints to be safe. Anyone know what silicone is safe for PVC and conduit and can also be buried? Can't wait to connect lights to transformer and see how they look (and confirm they work lol)

Adding mod-lights to an inground steel panel pool - help!

UPDATE @jimmythegreek Project mostly completed! This past weekend we drained enough water down in the pool to unhang the liner as we needed to. I was in the pool knee deep and had cardboard taped under every hole we were going to cut with a vacuum running. It worked out well. We drilled 4...

Help on how to prep for coping install around a steel panel pool

I would only be able to connect the grid at one point to the existing loop, the ladder loop/copper is still exposed. All other wire is buried. So if i were to use this metal mesh under the pavers all around the pool, say one strip worth, can i tie those all together with metal ties and then...

Help on how to prep for coping install around a steel panel pool

so i'm good with the bonding...i'm doing pavera. no need to add a mesh blanket just for the sake of adding it all around the pool. The pool is properly bonded and there will be no additional metal added within 5 feet of the pool. Need to focus on this darn coping now and how to best handle...

Help on how to prep for coping install around a steel panel pool

I can confirm our code in connecticut and specifically middletown does not need this mesh. The deck would only need bonding if you're doing a concrete patio with steel/rebar reenforcement. Pavera/concrete/mortar (no metal) = no bonding required. so i'm good. still need a solve around this...

Help on how to prep for coping install around a steel panel pool

Thank you! I believe i only need this mesh if i want to re-enforce a concrete pad. I shouldn't need this if i'm laying pavers....so as of now only the metal all around the pool is bonded with the 8gauge wire (ladder, pump, several points of contact along the panels, the water is also bonded etc.)

Help on how to prep for coping install around a steel panel pool

Best method for attaching coping stone on steel/vinyl pool

I'm glad i found this post. I'm in an exactly similar situation. have processed all around the pool now and need to think next of how to install coping. I've heard of some installing a foot or so wide 4 to 5" deep pad of concrete all along the perimeter to adhere the coping to. Unfortunately...

Adding mod-lights to an inground steel panel pool - help!

What exactly do you cut with the Dremel? Wouldn't I just use a 3 1/8" hole saw to cut an even hole and the locking nut holds everything in place? I have a beaded liner. I have a guy that has owned his own company and helped me with the install of my pool. I'll talk to him again to see his...

Adding mod-lights to an inground steel panel pool - help!

4" behind light to reduce pipe size. Still confused how lowering water halfway will allow for enough pressure to unhang the liner in that spot. It needs to be lifted to unhook out of the groove. See attached photos for the fittings

Adding mod-lights to an inground steel panel pool - help!

I appreciate this very much. In order to take pressure off the liner to unhook it I need to lower water level quite a bit. I don't think lowering it halfway down the wall will be enough to release the pressure. I'll be doing this probably in mid September when it will start getting too cold to...

Adding mod-lights to an inground steel panel pool - help!

I don't know if the fittings are standard. The model of the fitting is LNS-2V. I have to drill a 3 1/8" hole for the fitting to work. I was going to lower water level to below shallow to take pressure off before winterization unhang first half of liner on that side do the first two put liner...

Adding mod-lights to an inground steel panel pool - help!

Is it a big deal to lower the water level or empty pool entirely before winter. Take down part of the liner to do the job properly then refill before winter? I'm not concerned about water costs just getting it done properly
