Small drip from filter

Air valve needs to be replaced. I wouldn't be overly concerned, but don't leave it that way, have them fix it...

You don't have much water coming out. It is a very slow drip, should be fine until tomorrow if they will fix it.

If it will make you feel better, raise your FC to SLAM level running the pump for an hour after making the addition, then shut the pump off until they come. If you need to add chlorine again because it will take a few days, turn the pump on for an hour and add more chlorine.

Got it. Is there nothing “normal” that causes a little leak? Is it always something that needs repaired?

Yes. A pool water distribution system should not leak. Repaired is a broad word. A union might leak, and it may just need to be tightened, not sure that is a "repair." A filter might leak if the o-ring or seal between the two halves is bad, or the o-ring might need lubrication. If bad, replace, if needing lubrication, remediate (clean and lubricate).

Let's say it this way, any water leak in a pool water distribution system should be remediated, or repaired.

Thank you! It has stopped now and the spot dried up, not sure what that means. But I will make our tech aware tomorrow!

That is an air bleed valve. It may have been that while it was expelling air, you got a little bit of water out also. If it has stopped and no longer leaking, than you are just fine. No need for the tech.

There are orings inside that valve. It comes apart and you replace orings and use pool lube on it.

A tech will just charge you for a new one. Up to you.
