Hello everyone, I'm puzzled with the small amount of air bubbles in my pump basket. What's funny is when I removed the strainer basket, the pump runs clear with no bubbles.
So I said it is the strainer basket that makes the bubbles, so I put in a new baskets and guest what? The bubble are still there . Anybody has a solution?

Welcome to TFP.

What model pump are we discussing?

I don't think it is a problem.

Thank you for the welcome note. We're talking about a Jandy FloPro 1HP. I did all the lubing and new connections that I could do. The funny part is when there no strainer basket, there is no bubbles. Should I put a panty hose style sock on my skimmer basket and run the pump with no strainer basket?

No. The pump basket protects the impeller from sucking debris in.

What problem are the bubbles causing?

If none, then it ifs fine.

It's not causing any problems, just that some expert say the pump has to run without bubbles.
Thank you AJW22, in that case I will not lose any sleep over it.
Appreciate your response, have a great spring/summer.
