IMG_4530.pngOur pentair water control panel stopped working last night. (I think it might have gone out during a storm but also it might have been before, not sure but including just incase.) Screen won’t turn on and not responsive to clicks.

We tried to reset the breaker and it’s hardwired so no battery to replace.

The outdoor pool panel is working and all pool things are functioning normally, it’s just the indoor control.

Anybody have any experience and advice with this?

We even called our pool company tech out this morning and he said he wasn’t sure.

We eventually are switching over to control by app - we moved in less than 2 months ago and moving depleted our budget so trying to get by with this for a while before we can replace the antenna with a WiFi compatable one. Pool guy told us it should be about $1200 to switch our current antenna out with a WiFi compatible one but wasn’t 100% sure. Does this sound about right or more or less?

Welcome to TFP.

We tried to reset the breaker and it’s hardwired so no battery to replace.

The indoor panel gets power from the four-wire cable that connects it to the outdoor panel.

If you have a multimeter you can test the voltage on the red and black wires, looking for around 14V DC.

If you have voltage at the panel and it is not lighting up then the storm may have blown it out.

There may be a problem with the cable to the outdoor panel. You can remove the indoor panel from the wall, take it to the outdoor panel, and connect it with a short four wire cable to see if it works.

Your pool company tech does not know much.

Show us pictures of the outdoor antenna you have now.
