Jandy Variable Speed Pump Not Starting

We just moved into our new house on Tuesday and have been having our pool professionally serviced since 4/15, at least until we feel comfortable taking over the maintenance ourselves.

The pool was serviced this past Tuesday, and everything seemed fine at the time (though I was too busy moving in to check thoroughly). Yesterday, I noticed the pump wasn’t running but didn’t think too much of it, figured it might just be the settings. However, today it’s still not running, even after I set it to “Time Run.” Our pool guy is coming Monday to take a look, but is there anything we should try in the meantime?

I also tested the water chemistry using a Clorox test strip today, and everything seems to be off. Since the pool was just serviced on Tuesday, I wouldn’t think 1–2 days of a non-functioning pump would cause this much of an issue? Attached is their 4/29 chemistry report and a list of chemicals that have been added since 4/15.

Welcome to TFP!!!

First thing you need to do is get a test kit. We don't rely on strips or pool stores. As a result, we need results from your test kit to give you help. Why? Because the strips and store testing is inaccurate, and we can do more harm than good making recommendations off of inaccurate test results. A proper test kit will save you LOTS of money in the long run.

Here is what we recommend. Link-->Test Kits Compared
