Why does the ph climb from 7.2 to 8.0 in a week. I add muriatic acid to decrease to 7.2 and in a week or so it's right back up to 8.0. TA is 110 ppm. 15000 gallon in ground pebble tech in Tucson Az

With your high TA fill water you will need to add acid twice a week during high evaporation periods. Very typical.

When your TA gets to 60-80, if you get there, stop forcing pH down to 7.2. It should be fairly stable around 7.8-8, which is fine.
You may not be able to get there with high evap rate and high TA…just letting you know if you do get TA down.

It may reduce the frequency, not the amount.
As a borates user, the real benefit of Borates, and the only reason I would recommend the use of borates is to reduce the pH rise in a salt cell reducing the tendency to scale.
