Understanding Pentair Intellitouch/Screenlogic Setup

Hello,

New pool owner here (via home purchase), just got our pool opened this week. Trying to get comfortable with the Screenlogic interface, and I apologize in advance for really dumb questions! Thought our system was busted at first, every time I would turn on the spa, lights, features, etc...it would turn off after 1 minute. Realized everything had egg timers set, ugh! App is very clunky - wouldn't let me put the timers down to zero at first without going up, but eventually everything seems to be functioning. What would be a good use for the egg timers?

I see there was a schedule previously set - is this something I should keep enabled? What is the point of it - to make sure the spa is getting filtered regularly?

I've figured out what most of the features do, but any idea what Pool high and Jet 1 Side are?

The pool has fountains on the pool sides and a spillway from the spa to pool. I'm sure a dumb question, but are those mostly for decorative purposes, or should I say run the spillway regularly so that water flows to the pool. Wasn't clear if those are something I should leave on all the time.

Any other tips or recommendations would be much appreciated! Been trying to read as much as possible to hopefully get to speed shortly

Welcome to TFP.

To turn off egg timers set them to 12 hours, not zero.

For everything to operate properly, your pool should be running on a schedule in POOL mode. The schedule should be enabled.

I don't know why the prior owner wanted to run the spa for 3 hours every morning unless they used it.

It is good to run the spa daily to exercise the spa jets and blower if you have one.

My IntelliCenter pool/spa schedule is:

You must run your spillway once or twice daily to refresh the spa water and ensure it stays chlorinated.

Pool high is likely a Feature Circuit that just increases the pump speed for times when you want more flow.

Jets 1 Side may turn on a pump, turn an actuator valve, or increase pump speed for your spa. You need to look in the settings as to what is defined for that circuit.

Thanks @ajw22 for the response, much appreciated!

And also thanks for sharing the schedule. So if I read that correctly, you have your pool mode running all the time. No need for the spa schedule then unless we regularly use the spa at a certain time and want it ready to go? Good deal on the Spillway, I think I'll start with a schedule like that. I only see Spa Air blower, no jets listed in features.

Thanks for the link, very helpful! I guess I should look into the IntelliTouch to IntelliCenter upgrade at some point. I'm not exactly sure how I look the settings/configs for my system - is that a separate app from the screenlogic mobile app?
