Thank you for taking the time to explain your current situation with the controller. I will have to follow your advice. I am reading some of the content of the nixie but I am already at a loss. There would be the question on how to connect the B&D VSP. The Nixie focus on the one speed and two speed Pump.
I will have to bug them with questions.

@hexabc I'm about to embark on building this, anything changes since you've been using it for a couple of years now?

How my system differs is I've got the same B&D pool pump with the automation panel that needs to be controlled via Raspberry Pi, but the rest of my equipment is still controlled by a Hayward Goldline Aqua Plus. This is the SWG, booster, spa blower and lights. It _used_ to also control the pool pump, but last year I couldn't find a single-speed pump to save my life thanks to new US EPA regulations. My primary goal is to just control the pool pump as you do, and my bonus goal is to also control the Hayward box through the modbus or serial connection.
